- Tier ranking Central & Eastern European countries like never seen before. This fun little Eastern Europe tier list is based on the statistics of each countries, as well as my personal opinions about their folk and pop culture.
You might have seen many Eastern Europe travel vlogs, but in this video I'll show you a side of Central & Eastern Europe you've never seen before, with some folk dance and memes.
In this video you'll see stuff that exist only in Eastern Europe and the Central European countries. I'll show some clips from foreign movies, to promote Eastern European cinema and recommend you some underrated movies to watch.
I'll show you why you should visit Czech Republic, present some Poland fun facts, funny Balkan videos, and clips from Romania travel vlog that are cooler than Dracula's castle in Transylvania.
We discuss Balkan culture, the Eastern European aesthetic, Hungarian basics, Bulgarian culture,
life in Croatia, what to see in Slovakia, and you can finally properly meet the Balkans and the Baltics.
Of course no such video could exist without the Eurotrip Eastern Europe scene, and the narration of an Eastern European woman, with a stereotypical Eastern European accent.

Nice video, but I have to say that the whole thing that makes tier lists funny, at least for me, is the randomness and personal biases, so doing a tier list based on actual data is an intresting choice. Keep up the good work!

This ranking is based on political views. Putting Albania+Bulgaria above Hungary even in these times is just ridiculous, not to mention the current Ukraine... The little girl never been outside of Budapest, she prefers to surf through the leftist sites all day.

Azt írtam, hogy itthon a politikai klíma az, ami tényleg szar(és valljuk be, tényleg az, függetlenül attól, hogy most fideszes, vagy ellenzéki vagy), mert bármit is mondasz, akármilyen politikai témában, mindig szembejön valaki, aki csak ezért belédköt, mint pl valamilyen kommentszekcióban. 😀A videós is kiemelte, hogy a jelenlegi politikai helyzet miatt ez a véleménye, de ezenkívül amiről beszámolt, azok pozitívak.
Sok dolog van, amit szeretek itthon, és ezeket is érdemes kihangsúlyozni (természeti tájak, építészeti remekművek, kultúra, barátok, család), és nem ezek a dolgok lesznek azok, amik miatt az emberek mondjuk külföldre mennek. Ez ennél árnyaltabb.
Viszont sokaknak tényleg elege van abból, ami itthon zajlik politikailag, de ez egyáltalán nem egyenlő azzal, hogy csak ezért itthon minden más szar. Szerintem senki sincs ezen az állásponton, aki meg igen, az egy olyan kisebbség, aki mindig a kákán keresi a csomót, vagy csak unalomból trollkodik (esetleg mindkettő).
Szerintem a videós sem arra gondolt, hogy most jól megmondja, hogy itthon milyen szörnyű minden (sok pozitívumot ki is emelt), meg ezt az egész tier-es dolgot sem kell véresen komolyan venni, csak a mém miatt van. Ha tényleg mögé lát az ember, és nem automatikusan ítélkezik, akkor úgysem csak a szörnyűségeket látja az adott dologban. De szerintem ő úgysem azoknak készít kifejezetten tartalmat, akik sportot űznek abból, hogy mindenbe belekötnek.

This was such a funny and entertaining list. As a Polish I couldn’t agree more, many other Poles agree that the political extremism is actually insulting to our own history as we fought so hard against those extremes before. I’m hopeful things will get better, we are all cousins at the end of the day. Keep up the great videos Anna!

Based and entertaining channel. Personally, I would've mentioned more music, especially Russian anti-war bands Kino and DDT and the whole Yugoslav rock movement (which is wild from our Romanian perspective, under strict censorship). Anyway, subbed + comment for the algorithm.
Has anyone else ever thought that Northern Ireland might be Eastern European. We check many of the Boxes. Government is Shit. Ethnic tensions between the Mainly Protestant British (Unionists) & Mainly Catholic Irish (Nationalists). Also we have a beautiful culture where the clothing is a blend of the British, Scottish & Irish traditional clothing with things like Kilts & Irish clothing Items. We also have basically no government. If you think of it we don't hold the Northern Most point on the Island of Ireland but we do hold the Eastern Most point the port town of Portavogie where you can see fishing vessels & try to understand the locals who speak a foreign language of Ulster-scots which is like Scots (unitelligable language of Scotland that is brother to English) but it is harder to understand so I suggest we be called Eastern Ireland & gain honoury status of being in Eastern Europe we also are really poor at least by western European standards.

Like wham bars (like a bar of sweet thing) where once 10p now they are like 20p but I once saw them at £1 but the one they're selling for round 20p is half the size of the old 10p ones so soon we may not have food.

I like how most of the countries in this list have a questionable/awfully political state, yet we all have beautiful cultures, landscapes and arts. Plus the memes, the DNA of the soul, are something else. We live in a pretty special spot in the world

On estonian segment i saw in the begining a man which dance was looking like the russian. It was a mistake or they just borrowed from russians/gruzins/caucaz cultural zone?
Question Annalewild do you consider Armenia,Azerbaijan,and Georgia Eastern european or not?
That's a complicated topic and it depends on the context. Geographically Azerbaijan and Georgia are transcontinental, so from that perspective they can be considered as partially Eastern European. Plus, there are lots of similarities between the history, culture and overall vibe between Eastern Europe and the mentioned countries. However in my videos I usually use the geopolitical definition of "Central & Eastern Europe" interchangeably with Eastern Europe, which refers to the countries in the Baltics, Central Europe, Eastern Europe and parts of Southeast Europe, meaning the former communist states from the Eastern Bloc and Warsaw Pact in Europe, as well as from former Yugoslavia. Long story short: yes and no, depending on the context.

I laugh a little at all these ratings of democracy, level of happiness and other nonsense, and when I saw Russia in F, and Estonia in A. But this is of course a personal list, zero complaints, it just seems to me that this is the mindset of many Western people 😁

I'm sure russo-ukrainian war is cringe, and the current russian dictator is one of the worst thing nowdays, an obvious threat to Europe, but I think Russia deserves a better tier, because of russian art and culture. There is a way too strong influence of politics, however a country is not just about the government. Russian culture is a strong S. Maybe that country deserves atleast a D.

Bruh, I k people might be arguing if Poland is better than Czech or some countries like that, but rating Slovakia over Poland is imo disrespectful and weird. I have been with my family to Slovakia and everyone said that this country is def way worse developed and not looking that good as Poland for example.

Turkey (like Greece) is also in the balkan peninsula and bordering the black sea too, right?? Video seems to presents a very reddit-esque vision of Europe (including attacking non-white Americans who don't support the recieved narrative on Ukraine) that mostly revolves around countries trying to join EU or maintaining certain lifestyle on top as part of EU even if all the countries on top of this tier list are actually declining in population due to remittance and now life expectancy since 2020. Talking about Greece or Cyprus where lawmakers turned their backs as Zelensky spoke or Turkey similarly not backing the narratives of western govts (including having limited interest in joining EU) while having a longer life expectancy than various "white" EU states doesn't fit typical narrative. Greeks, Caucasians and eastern Mediterranean people just don't exist in minds of a certain crowd nowadays... and it might be better this way tbh.

And the NGO "happiness index" measures, who "happy" men-hating LGBTIQ+ are. If they can be happy at all. For example: Sweden, has jailed J.A. is not happy. Even though it is at the top of the index, the country sucks, and no man in his sane mind wants to live there.
