Today we are doing a taste test showdown to find out the best Brownie Mix - Betty Crocker, Ghiradelli, or Pillsbury???
So this is another episode in a fun series I have here on the channel, where I have a bunch of friends and family over for a blind taste test, to rate and compare brownie samples A, B and C, so we can find out which really is the best over all boxed brownie mix.
We’re rating these on everything from price, to ingredients, time/ease/cleanup, appearance and of course, taste, to find out which one is really worth it and which ones are just a total waste of time and money. There are so many different brownie mixes at the grocery store, so which one should you choose? Well, today, we’re gonna find out which reigns supreme.
    ♡♡♡ THE DETAILS! ♡♡♡
    We're giving:
1 point for the best price:
1 point for the fewest/easiest ingredients:
1 point for the quickest time/ease/cleanup:
1 point based on appearance alone/most appetizing looking:
3 points for the best taste:
    A- Betty Crocker
time/ease/cleanup: 3-way tie. Just mix 4 ingredients in a bowl, bake, serve and only a few dishes.
appearance: Tie for runner up, but pretty much a 3-way tie, with 3/10 votes. Lightest in color, with a shiny top.
taste: Unanimous tie for last place, with 0/10 votes. Most chewy, but a little dry and doesn't really have any chocolate flavor, just sweet.
price: Tie for the win- $1.99 + the ingredients needed
ingredients: 4- box mix, water, oil, eggs
    B- Ghirardelli
time/ease/cleanup: 3-way tie. Just mix 4 ingredients in a bowl, bake, serve and only a few dishes.
appearance: Tie for runner up, but pretty much a 3-way tie, with 3/10 votes. Darkest in color, with the least shiny top.
taste: Unanimous tie for last place, with 0/10 votes. Bland/boring- A little dry and not super chocolatey. No chewiness or fudginess.
price: Most expensive at $3.79 on sale for $3.00 + the ingredients needed
ingredients: 4- box mix, water, oil, eggs (less oil and eggs than the others)
    C- Pillsbury
time/ease/cleanup: 3-way tie. Just mix 4 ingredients in a bowl, bake, serve and only a few dishes.
appearance: Winner, but pretty much a 3-way tie, with 4/10 votes. Medium chocolate color with a shiny top. Falls apart easily when you cut it/pick it up, but eludes to fudginess/moistness.
taste: Unanimous winner, with 10/10 votes. Ultra moist, soft and fudgy. Sweet, rich chocolate flavor and melts in your mouth.
price: Tie for the win- $3.29 on sale for $1.99 + the ingredients needed
ingredients: 4- box mix, water, oil, eggs (the most oil)
    My vote:
Pillsbury. Adding chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or ganache on top would have definitely made any of the mixes a lot better.
    Overall:
    1 point - time/ease/cleanup: 3-way tie
1 point - appearance: Pillsbury by one vote
3 points - taste: Pillsbury- Unanimous winner
1 point - price: Tie for Betty Crocker and Pillsbury
    1 point - ingredients: 3-way tie
Ghirardelli was by far the most expensive and I thought it would be the best, since they are known for their chocolate, however it was the worst tasting brownie of the three, in my opinion, and got zero votes for taste, along with Betty Crocker. Pillsbury didn't look that mush different than the others, but flavor and texture blew the competition away and was by far the best and only truly "fudgy brownie", as advertised on the box.
    Winner:
    Pillsbury for an incomparable taste.

Don’t like cooking in aluminum foil% I rather clean my glass . Aluminum is toxic for cooking , ok for wrapping or storing
