day 62 - this was filmed the day before i flew out to canada but never got around to putting it together in time. the canada and DV videos took priority but enjoy this awesome day and first time at Pow Mow this season! i was skiing much more conservatively than i usually do because i didnt want a stupid injury to happen the day before i left.
Nice Lucas. Love that mountain. Know you love racing....here's some footage from my home area in GER....wide open free racing without traffic. Got my uncles Bimmer up to 280km here. So fun. Bavarian....so BMW is our fav!! ruclips.net/video/FpC02rkSW6M/видео.html
Had the great honor of speaking to the ski legend himself today.. Lucas thanks for picking up the phone and chatting up with me for a minute it was definitely high on the stoke squad scale Make it a great day

Lucas!!! Love the stoke, love the energy! You’ve definitely inspirited me to improve my skiing, try new stuff and take the stoke to the next level. Keep rippin bro
7:35 When Jillian was talking about being in the backseat and letting the skis be in control, there's the textbook example. Glad to see you muscled your way out of that one. Working out pays off. Cool resort. Never been there. If I ever get out to Utah again, it'll have to be on the list.

Always a fan. Sooooo, my father is a mountain host at PowMow for the nearly the last decade. Apparently today, both Phil Mahre (olympian) and Bear Gryllis were both skiing at Powder. Little did my dad know that an even more FAMOUS person was there last week in the form of Lucas Catania!!!
@@LucasCatania17 To Lucas and the son of the mountain host, I'll be there next week, is there anything down from Lightning Ridge that is not super steep or a narrow chute? Are there signs?
Lucas, we're in Utah from NE for the week. Did Snowbasin, Snowbird Alta so far. Solitude and Brighton tomorrow and deer valley next day before wrapping the week in little cottonwood. Really appreciate the beta from your videos and have had an amazing time so far.
I gotta admit that it was kind of fun to see you struggle through the trees near the blind drop area, I have similar difficulties from time to time. "It didn't have to be sketchy..." Our Chair 5 is similar, some of the best terrain but a painfully slow lift ride. Thanks for sharing man.
Nice day at Powder! I've watched your camera gear videos and I'm wondering if you use lav mics or onboard gopro audio while you're out on the mountain?
Any tips for not being so sore after 3 consecutive days of skiing? I find that after the second day, my form starts to go south which just kills my legs, idk what I should do / work on to be able to ski more consecutive days like yourself. Any tips?
@@jgg0207 What do you typically ski? If you always ski rough terrain for your level, you will be sore after a few days. Off-piste, moguls and steeps are exhausting. The body is just not made for this intensity for hours on end, everyday. Give your legs some rest and do a day of easy cruisers in between. A little bit of acitivity for the muscles without to much strain help them to transport metabolic waste away and thus enhances regeneration. Stretching also helps a lot with regeneration. I personally stretch each major muscle group of my lower body for at least 1 minute each every day directly after I'm done skiing. I hope this helps.

The good thing about a slow chair is more untracked pow or takes longer to track out :)
yea its all relative!

Hi, how difficult is it to get lift tickets late Dec --early January just for 2-3 days? Do they sell out.
where u headed next? nice vid btw
the PNW
We never take that chair because of how long it takes. There are great alternatives at Powder Mountain.
sweet
Please tell me your gonna be at PC or DV this weekend, Im visiting for a few days.
i will not be man

february
How long is the lift??? And how many minutes does the lift take
How often do you ding up your skis and need to fill them?
almost never. you'd be surprised how resilient skis are
Scotty’s chute (hook chute) looked very narrow. How wide was it actually? Also, how far in front of you is your go pro.
Thanks for your work Lucas!
It was just about a ski/board length across.
My GoPro is just mounted right on the front of my helmet
What’s that lens called for the zipline goggles
golden hour - amber lens for podium xt
