    Amazingly delivered! I personally use Brachetto d'Aqui more than a Moscato di Asti. Less ppl have heard about it and I just love that fresh red berry profile!

      I think Brachetto is lovely with things like sweet-sauced BBQ or Chinese-style BBQ pork. It's definitely an underappreciated pairing option. Cheers!

      Just wanted to say I spent a very enjoyable Sunday evening going through the backlog of these videos with a glass of Pauillac. They balance numbers with maps without ever getting boring or dry - so thank you.

      Just one glass of Pauillac? Mon Dieu! Thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to watch the vids. I really appreciate hearing from people that benefit from them. Thanks again and cheers!

    Can you please do A cast on The Sierre Foothills AVA in California. Amador and Eldorado County I feel are making some of the best Zinfandels.

    I have a question , moscato d' asti docg is made with the charmat tank, and the asti docg metodo classico ?. THANK YOU

    • @TheUnknownWinecaster
      @TheUnknownWinecaster  6 лет назад +4

      Thanks for the question. Both Asti and Moscato d'Asti are made by the same method, the Partial Fermentation or Asti Method. It's very similar to Charmat with the main differences being that the unfermented or partially fermented must is kept chilled in tank until the producer wants to make a batch of wine and then the must is warmed up and fermented until the desired alcohol/pressure/sugar level is reached. The wine is then filtered and bottled. Astis ferment longer than Moscato d'Astis, so their pressure and alcohol levels are higher while their sugar level is lower. Hope that helps. Cheers and thank you for watching and commenting!

      Thanks for stopping by and for the compliment. You have a terrific channel as well; I just subscribed -- let's be honest, all of this vino can be hell on the waistline, so I could use a few new exercise routines. Cheers!
