I really appreciate when an airline in business class actually sets the table vs bringing out a tray. The food can be the same but that small difference really makes the experience. Another great video!
I've just discovered your channel and am greatly enjoying it. Your priorities in premium flying are pretty much exactly mine - food and drink, comfort, and then everything else (which other vloggers often concentrate on). So thank you very much. I flew Qatar business a year or so ago from Colombo to Doha and it was excellent, although on an old A330. In May I'll be flying with them from Almaty to Doha, then on to London in a Q-suite (unless they change the equipment of course) - I'm now looking forward to it even more.
Thank you so much for the nice feedback, dear Jim. Those aircraft changes can be really annoying. In the past, you could change the flight when there was no QSuite if it was first scheduled upon booking the flight. But now they settled the dispute with Airbus, there are fewer aircraft changes with Qatar. I'm crossing my fingers for you to have a great trip! Chris
Wow that was a wonderful showcase of fine dining you took us on. Some of the wines were superb too. I think the difference between first class and business class is becoming less and less these days. The main difference seems to be the quality of the wines and maybe caviar. Really enjoyed your video and will start looking at your earlier videos.
Very happy that you watched the video. And yes, a warm welcome to watch some of my older videos as most of them are still up to date 😊 Great to have you here on TravelSingFly!
It was indeed a lot of work. 30+ hours this time. Not as much as my videos on Emirates A380 First Class to Toronto (60+) and my Phuket Beach Report (100+!🙈🙈🙈) But every time happy when it's done
I'm scheduled to fly business class on ANA to Bali and then KLM to Singapore. Honestly, I'm not as excited about Japanese food, but I'm sure the service will be awesome. Thus far, my best Business Class experience has been EMIRATES roundtrip to Seychelles and Maldives.
I totally get it. Emirates uses their A380 to Mauritius. Great flight! B777 to Seychelles, I think. Not a big fan of that one - but who cares when it's to the amazing Seychelles.....?! 😊 Wishing you a great, happy trip on ANA - I'm sure you'll love it. Just too bad you don't like Japanese food. They're so great in that.....
Great video Chris and happy memories! Qatar food/drink is very good and the and service is better than Emirates; more personal. Emirates is still v good too...and I love the bar at the back. The Garden Lounge is the best in Doha in my opinion. All flights are great, and these are just amazing. Super to see you at 16,000 Subscribers: I remember you being a bit down when you were only at 3,000. Bravo.
Thank you so much for the great feedback, dear Charles! It's still a long way to go - but I'm grateful that I had this increase recently. My reports from India attracted quite a few people... Thank you very much for writing!
When I fly Christian it's mineral water and still water and perhaps a glass of red wine or a campari, soup salads and vegies. Avoid the meat chicken keep it light as possible. My stomach suffers because of flying . It basically becomes static
Great video. Your tiger must be getting ein bisschen fett after all that eating. Best food I've ever had in business class was in Etihad (repeatedly) but this was pre-Covid and I've not flown with them post-Covid so can't say if they are still as good. Qatar food is extremely good, Emirates business good but not as good as Etihad/Qatar. I do love the Emirates bar area which works because it's an open horseshoe arrangement so one can sit down or stand at the bar (whereas Etihad has a sad enclosed circle).
Just for the record, it's only the tiger that puts on some weight after all this..... That's why now I'm taking him with me on flights! And I agree, flying Emirates A380 is really fun bebaute of the bar!
I made the mistake of ordering a cheese board for dessert on Emirates. Then I realized, I hate those types of cheeses. I tried to eat most of it, but couldn't finish. Never again.
Why is Etihad less fun than Emirates? I think it's because of Emirates use of color. I find Emirate's colors - especially on the A380 to be uplifting and calming. Etihad looks drab despite its wealth.
Hi! Actually it was Qatar, not Etihad. But Etihad does have something like a lounge in their A380 too - but an extremely sad, useless place without service and with nobody ever in there (I showed it in my report about Etihad First Class Apartments) Yeah, I don't know..... Emirates has just everyone a great atmosphere in their bar... Maybe the layout is just better
I know about the video and I know Josh. I like him. I didn't want to say anything about it directly. But that whole thing got a little out of hand imo. First of all I found it very embarrassing that the airline started to defend themselves - not smart at all. Then that ban - even less smart. But then after that, I found it a bit (no, very) unfair to hazard the consequences that a video I post would kill the jobs and also the job future of quite a few people. Everybody who knows the region and its laws and customs (like Josh or me or many many others), knows 100% that something like his video, exposing faces of staff complaining, results in the immediate end of work contract for them. And it also, in the second step, results in them never being able to work for an airline again, anywhere in the world. They were very un-smart to be shown in the video - but also Josh knows the region and he must have known that this video would kill the professional future of those flight attendants. To make a few 100'000 clicks..... It irritated me a lot. I couldn't do that..... I even try to bender show any faces at all - even though I almost always have great experiences with crew. But when I tell them that I won't show their and passengers' faces, they are always very, very appreciative.
How can you review all the world's BC food and beverages in 25 minutes? What's going on here? Unless you are pushing one airline in particular - QATAR.
I am pretty sure that my little channel has no influence on Qatar nor do I have any positive or negative consequences from an aviation report. - I have flown many of the major and also lots of the not-so-known airlines in the past years for this channel. If you take the time to watch my 100+ reports here and on my original channel, you will see that they are very even and with the goal of being as objective and fair as every possible. This is NOT my job but my unpaid hobby. I take about 40 hours/ week to produce good, unbiased content. I therefore don't go out anymore or watch TV. So, just take your time, too, and watch the rest of this channel's content. I am looking forward to discuss things further afterwards 🙂
Absolutely shameless... A country like Qatar should be ashamed of letting a carrier like this represent them as a country. Even if this airline is the last on the planet - I'll rather walk or swim.
I didn't really get that. So you mean Qatar is better than its airline? All I know there's lots of airlines in the world, no need for you to fly Qatar. This is just a culinary report.
Don't forget to write your experience with airline food worldwide - in Economy, Business Class and First Class!
I really appreciate when an airline in business class actually sets the table vs bringing out a tray. The food can be the same but that small difference really makes the experience. Another great video!
I couldn't agree more. It's small things that make the difference. And sometimes things that don't even cost more.....

That cheese platter alone would be a full meal for me ;-)
You know, it's all about training, Ninette... 😅 Believe me...... I know 😂

Fantastic video Chris. It must have been a lot of hard work to edit and put together, but what a fantastic result.

What a wonderful video showcasing in-flight delicacies!
Thank you! 😊😊😊

Thanks from Doha 🌷
Excellent report, I was salivating the whole length of this video. Such delicious food and drinks.
Thank you so much for watching!!! 🙂
Loving your Cape Town cap 😉
Thanks
Wow, thank you very much, dear Paul!

😂😂😂 You see, you have to do it like me: never cheese for dessert. Always cheese AND dessert. Of course followed by yet another dessert! 😉😂

My mistake.
Qatar isn’t that great either anymore.
Josh Cahill did a huge expose on them.
