    Hey Emma, your begonia is a corallina de lucerna, commonly known as lucerna. You can try putting it in direct sunlight to get very red backs. The leaves get absolutely massive!

    Thrips are terrible they do so much damage and they love the monstera family. Sorry you dealt with that so long. I used captain jacks but don’t know if you can get it in the UK. But weekly spraying for several months was the way I got rid of mine. I found the thrips actually chewed the leaves unless I had flatmites on top of thrips. Ps I could not get my 2 standlyanas to root in water so after 6 months I put them in soil and into ziploc bag and they rooted in weeks

    Hey, I recently talked about my rhaphidophora decursiva in your comments since you asked about our experiences with it and I wanted to give you a little more details about mine to maybe help you ^^ I got my unrooted mid cutting with a big leaf in 8/23 took until 2/24 to give me a new growth point and now it's giving me it's first new leaf after two empty nodes (leaf is a decent size for a mid cut). So I'd say it's decently fast growing but it takes ages to get a growth point going. My humidity is around 50-60%, temperature fluctuates heavily since it's directly in the window (never below 15°C) and it's in a south facing window and gets like high/ medium light.

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  6 месяцев назад

      hmm okay that's giving me hope because I think mine might be launching a growth point now but it's still early days! Thanks!

    My Gosh the pink lady, the camera cought it right, sooo shiny😃 By the way, what treatment have you used that it left stains on the plants? Was it for mites or thrips? I have mites on hoyas and thrips as well and don't know what to use, could you share what did you use please))

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  6 месяцев назад +1

      Isn't it just 💖
      and the sulfur treatment was for mites but apparently it can work on thrips as well?? Defo worth looking into. I talk about it a little bit in a previous plant chores video from last year

    Hey there. I noticed your Dragon Scale on your new office arrangement shelving...I have one which I got a couple of weeks ago online. It has two and a half leaves 😆 Unfortunately, one and a hlf of the leaves are rather yellow. I've tried different positions; have a moisture meter and use API Stress Coat in the water but it still looks rather sad. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  6 месяцев назад

      I've got a dragon scale care video where you can see everything I do to keep mine happy, but honestly new alocasias tend to throw fits after they're moved from the store into your home.. pretty normal for older leaves to die off. maybe leave it in the same place for a little bit and keep caring as normal and it should perk back up agian!
