    1) Why does the FSH peak at the same time as the LH if the O inhibits the FSH and also peaks at this time?
    2) why does the FSH start increasing again in stage four after peaking at the same time that P is increasing if P inhibits FSH?

    • @hamzie1010

      Progesterone is basically the hormone that says 'oh hell no, LH and FSH. You ain't gonna be making more eggs any time soon!' In other words, Progesterone stops FSH and LH from affecting the menstrual cycle further until the next cycle comes in.

      An increase of luteinizing hormones triggers the corpus luteum to produce progesterone, however if an egg still hasn’t been fertilised by a sperm, the corpus luteum drops the levels of progesterone, therefore causing menstruation (idk if it’s all correct tho)

    I'm a bit confused about why Oestrogen inhibits FHS in the first place?

    • @istoleyourtoast8037
      @istoleyourtoast8037 2 года назад +7

      because if it doesnt, then FSH will further stimulate more eggs cells to be released, so more sperms and egg cells will form more than one zygotes. Thats why when FSH is failed to be inhibited, people have twins and triplets. But usually, the human body is made to produce only one zygote. Hope this helps
