I happened to play this level yesterday and decided to try and get that secret save crystal after pulling the plug. It was possible to take it but on the way back I got attacked by some glitchy piranhas who managed to bite Lara even though she was in the kayak. Thanks for a very funny video, love the thumbnail.
Considering the level, you did very well! This level is my Vietnam... 🤣 And you talking to the kayak while driving it, made me laugh so much, I do it too! 😅😂 Once again, amazing video, great entertainment and on to the next one!😊
Well, of course it's gorgeous, it's called Madubu Gorge for a reason. 😂😂😂 And oh dear, it seemed you really had it in the end, Suzanne needed a hug 🫂. But I was fed up in parts of the level too; stupid cajac contolls... 🤐
Great play through. Lots of laughs. (Angry voice) I recently started yoga. 🤣 Great level but I do so hate the kano/kayak. Did take the shortcut. Did not remember the long way until I watched the video. Did also not know about the shortcut when I first played the game when it came out. Happy I do not mind to get all the crystals. Less stress. Yes I should have done yoga just before I played this level 😂 If I was playing this myself I would just do the shortcut so the level was over quicker 😅❤️
I'm loving this remaster so far. XProger and team did a great job with this in spite of their limited budget and time. Considering XProger's other project, I'm sure they would've done more if they could. TR3 was one of my coveted games as a kid. The PS1 Nevada demo was my introduction to Tomb Raider, followed by TR2's Great Wall. It took me a painfully long time (more than a decade, lol 😭) to finally get the full game. Even now in this remaster, just seeing the main menu and hearing that music makes my inner child giddy.
Love watching you rage at the difficult parts Suzanne,makes me laugh out loud. I know I would have struggled with this level if I was playing it myself 😂
😂🙈😂 Madubu Gorge is next level crazy making! The ultimate evil thing the developers didn’t include with the kayak was allowing it to tip completely upside down with Lara still inside! 😱 That is a real fear I have of trying out an actual kayak myself. Can you imagine the risk of Lara drowning that way among all the other hellish things about it? 32:02 I can’t even tell you how many times I tried to get this crystal back in the PS1 days when saves were a premium 😭 You did teach me something I didn’t know before that going down the first slope in the kayak backwards makes getting that crystal in the alcove easier! My poor thumbs were throbbing like crazy trying to maneuver the kayak to get all of them by the end 😂. Thanks for an entertaining play through. At least it’s visually stunning and gorgeous! 🤩❤️
Oh my god! I think I would have completely lost my mind if Lara could flip over in the kayak 😂 Definitely a big fear for me. I’ve only been canoeing, don’t think I could ever manage a kayak. The fear of flipping and getting stuck is too much 😱 I’ve completed this once on PS1 getting everything and never again 😭💔 The kayak is so difficult to control, it’s very hard to get the crystals 😭 Thanks for watching Christy 🥰

That house in Madubu Gorge reminded me of Abuna Yemata Guh. A Chapel carved in a mountain in Ethiopia. And you have to climb that mountain and walk next to a steep cliff if you want to enter the chapel.

I noticed at the end you got like me. I saved it after every single jump lol This level was definitely aggravating. I felt all the vehicles in part III had a difficult maneuverability, but that kayak… oh my God was that the most annoying thing ever lol Glad you managed to do it though :)

The day you rage-quit a game is the day I can fly to Mars! 😃 You mean you got abit annoyed-quit the game? 😊 To think I originally played this on PS1 where default was saving with crystals you find and I got all the secrets first time. So took me 6 months to finish TR3, playing sections over and over again. Very hard. So relieved remaster TR3 allows save anywhere or I doubt I’d have the stamina to ever play it again 🤣

This was probably my favorite episode only because I know it all too well, having played this level three separate times! Poor girl with the raging 😅 but its done now. But yeah, there two achievements/trophies for finishing with both canoes, the secret one and the crocodile one. As for the save crystals, you can skip a couple because you only need to finish with 93. Anyway, this was so much fun to watch, it got me out of a bummer mood 😊 looking forward to temple of Puna!
I see why you almost rage quit then with that crystal 33:22 the crystal before that one i didnt use the kayak and just swam to it and somehow got stuck in the wall next to it (beyond the waterfall) lol.
Suzanne. Tip. Turn up the contrsat and brightnwss on your graphics card driver. Do not Apply it and play your game. When uoi are finished playing click Cancel and it will go back to what you set it to before you turned up the settings. It saves you trying to reset the settings to what you had them before you apply them. Have fun in you brighter game.
Suzanne I love the remasters of TR1, TR2 & TR3 and of the 3 games TR3 looks the best its also the easiest game you can get the trophy for all Crystals if you finish River Ganges with 7 Crystals

Absolute NIGHTMARE 💀 I would like to know what went through the developers' heads when they play-tested this and thought this was fun 😅 The only good thing about that freaking kayak is that frustration makes great content, that's it 😂 Also the death when Lara fell into the water was sooo funny 😂 Btw, are you going for the "Pistols only" run in the future?

I would imagine that impossible to get to hut wasn't impossible to get to, at some point. IRL the Grand Canyon had a massive river cut it out from the rocks. So the same thing would have have happened to that now sad isolated hut.
Was only on my remastered run I learned there were two different kayaks to pick from I always went the long way round 😅 still it was nice to take the scenic route since this is such a beautiful level. Its definately one of those fun but fustrating levels though Also I think the trophy is referring to which kayak you picked at the beginning 🙂

I’ve seen it happen just once (and considering how many Let’s Plays of Madubu Gorge I’ve seen, that’s one out of dozens of kayak dismounts, so it’s definitely an uncommon occurrence).

56:25 There are 2 Kayaks in this level. One is right at the start, and the other is at the 2 crocodiles. I love this level, but on NG+ it was a little painful going for all the crystals and avoid the poison creatures. 😅

Madubu Gorge is such a massive leap when compared to the stream and waterfalls in Lost Valley in TR1 just two years earlier :)
