I was hiking in Banff one year, and although I never saw any bears, I did stop to enjoy the view over the valley from this one spot on the trail.
As I stood there, I suddenly had this feeling that someone or something was watching me. So, i looked around, and to my surprise and delight, I discovered that there was a wolf sitting about 20 feet behind me watching me. He (or she) looked very comfortable, and we just looked each other over for a few minutes. I didn't feel like I was in any danger, and the wolf showed no signs of aggression.
Rather, by his ears and his attitude, he seemed very curious.
Then, finally, he just got up and without looking back, trotted off at a slow pace into the trees and disappeared.
    It made my whole day!

Kudos to you and your warnings. Beautiful footage. We saw “the Boss” moving along the tracks by one of the RR intersections in town. We stayed in our vehicle . But Park’s wardens were quick on the scene to keep those with a lethal lack of common sense, away.

To Insiders Travel Guide. That is Amazing TYFS with us. I've never seen them in Alberta that Close, even when I Lived there from 1960 to 1976. While I've been in Wyoming, the Last 45 yrs. I've viewed them in Yellowstone, & Glacier NPs, from Say 400 Yards away too Less than 35 Yards, Twice in Yellowstone. The first in YSNP, was One Early May, at a Pull Out alongside the Yellowstone River, between Fishing Bridge, & going N. to the Canyon Village Jct, Complex & Intersection. A "Big" Sub Adult 🐻🐻 Boar! Came out of the Deep Trees 🌲🌲& Foliage alongside the Park Highway. He Stayed Parallel to the HWY for a Short Distance. And then He headed Over the Ridgeline. Down toward the Trout Creek Drainage which then Flows. In from due West, into the Yellowstone River. About a Half to Quarter mile. From the Pull Out, that Overlooks the Yellowstone River Valley.
That Encounter Happened in Late May of 1997, I recall 🤔🤔 it Was? On that Occasion. I Had the Company of,
A really Dear, Sadly Departed Friend, of Mine with Me. That very Great Day. The Memory, for Me? IS Just Like it Happened Yesterday Still. As For My Friend? He was Born a True Blue, Veteran & A Native Wyomingiete. Raised in the Bighorn Mountains. That was His One and Only Trip to Yellowstone National Park. As an Adult. So that made Our Visit that much more Special, for Us. (We saw more Bears both types, Bison, Elk, Deer, Moose, Coyotes, Wolf's, etc etc we saw them all that Day for His Sake I'm thinking it was.) So Thanks Again So Much for Sharing? Your Special Encounter with Us. May God Bless all The Beast's & The Children too. AMEN.

    A fantastic video.
This time of year bears love it if you run up to them and give them big hug before they go off for their winter sleep. If you have children with you encourage them to hug the bear also. Bears with cubs particularly love to be hugged.
Most wild animals love to hug humans, especially boas and pythons.
