I had a very happy accident when I just grabbed a Leuchtturm A5 week-on-one with notes as an emergency stop-gap planner, and have never looked back! That format and size is perfect for me and I now use the same format in a filofax. Planner Peace does exist - I found it by accident. 😊

Do you use the same set-up in your Filofax?

@Noteability Yes - I now use the Filofax week-on-one with notes pages in A5, in an Original. I liked the look and feel of the Malden but all those pockets made it very lumpy, and it wouldn't lay flat. The Original lies flat and I don't need the pockets so it's like using the Leuchtturm in a notebook cover, but with the versatility of rings. And Filofax make A5 notebook covers too that match the Original.

I own the same A5 Malden. The leather and quality is incredible. The FiloFax sits next to my computer for personal use.

Each size and layout has its pros and cons and it really depends on your planning style and how portable you want your planner to be. My style of planning during university was very similar to FranklinConvey (time blocking, with tasks and notes) which meant Week on 2 pages are too limited to my needs. Towards the end of my studies I’ve gone from A5 with Day on 2 Pages, to Personal with Day per Page.

Absolutely agree. Planner is a tool and in different stages of your life you need different tools to solve different problems.

Thank you! But I have to warn you, if you like it (the system) you won't end-up with just one :-D

@Noteability Very true. You find a style you like and end up with (in my case) five different colours and two different sizes along with their matching notebook covers...

Great video. A lot of DD was done before purchase decision. Looking forward to your detailed overview of your Malden system. 👍🏻

This is a great idea. I am going to try the passport size string notebook like this first. It shouldn't be too hard to make. Thanks you. PS: If you're after a Filofax Pocket, the Malden has a bigger pocket on the outside across the entire back, which is not on any other Malden size. I find that this larger pocket, though handy, causes friction on the rest of the Filofax when it is full, and this makes it harder to close with the buckle.

Thank you. I have bought a pocket Kensington on eBay. Should receive it very soon

@@Noteability Looking forward to your video on it. (I tried out a traveller's passport size using your cardboard method, and it became obvious straight away that rings are definitely for me.)

I actually just ordered a moterm a5 luxe planner. I love bigger sizes mostly for storage purposes.
