Not gonna lie as much I enjoyed seeing those big cats rampaging through the Russian lines. It was equally hilarious just seeing the looks on their turrets when all the Russian Tanks were flooding in with over whelming numbers. Like Oh shit these guys aren't retreating but instead charging us like a bunch mad men. Or how the Su 152 spg was like an Angry Vodka fueled Grizzly Bear just bringing death and destruction to any German panzer that dare push forward so it was rather fitting to have it hold the line and Tiger Tanks were like crap where is Elephants when you need them. And when they actually do show up and deal with the Su 152 it was already to late as the Su 152 held on until the T34s could commence their counter attack. I know I analyzed this too much but it really did feel like the Battle Kursk there. As that Su 152 only lived to up to its name sake as beast killer and yes It was only one participant in the battle. But it was amazing to see how it along with a few Su 76ms and Zis 3 Anti tank guns really proved to be very difficult challenge for the German panzers to overcome. As often in history those who fight on the defense are often portrayed as weak by the invaders or attackers. And it is true that one shouldn't always dig in and wait for the enemy to come to you. You should also make the most of any counter attack opportunities that you can as the defender to knock the enemy off balance and push them out your territory so that you can turn the tables and they are on the retreat. It just shows that as the defender if you can make could use of your defensive lines and positions. As well the Battle terrain and conditions. Its going to make for one hell of a slugfest which could really bog down the attacker or stall the offensive to slow creep or halt completely. As Kursk was a prime example of time not being Germany's side and they have to push hard and break through the Russian lines quick if they were to regain the advantage and the Russians learned all they had to was concentrate their forces in the Kursk salient while setting up as many anti tank mines, traps, trenches and barricades as possible. While have at the same time having additional defensive lines to fall back to until they could have another tanks deployed to the front to counter attack the Germans. And to allow for such steady floods of reinforcements and equipment the Russians had to make the German offensive as frustrating and painfully slow as possible if they couldn't out right stop the advance in its tracks . Because as the defender time is the biggest ally you can have because it allows forces to be redeployed to your sector in a timely and effective manner and allowing for your forces to build up in mass for an overwhelming counter attack. But for the Attacker Time is their biggest enemy because the faster they can push deep behind enemies lines and cause chaos through the enemy ranks means the defender has less time to rally and mobilize a counter attack. But if it gets bogged down or stalled out. Like in the case of the Battle of Kursk. This just means your at the end of your rope and probably gambled your last roll of the die hoping for any chance of victory on the Eastern Front. As really Kursk was do or die for the Germans and Russia's chance to come into its own on the Battlefield and really show to Nazi Germany that you don't mess with Mother Russia lol. They awoke the great Russian Bear and got mauled to death by it basically. As well alot people say the Battle of Stalingrad was the major turning point on the Eastern front. I say it was the first major victory of Soviet Union that really showed that Russia wasn't going to be a push over compared to some its neighbours when the Germans invaded and that were now a stronger and reorganized force. As many people say it was solely Russia's vast numbers of troops and equipment alone that defeated the Germans. I beg to differ as the Russian Conscript of 1941 was very different than his counterpart during in 1942 onward to the end of the war. And yes Stalin had a lot to do with cowardice being punishable by death. But still the Russians weren't stupid they learned and became more effective fighters over time just like the Western Allies. So that is why I think Kursk was the Real turning point of the War on the Eastern front as with the Battle of the Bulge that came a year later on the Western Front it this the Germans last chance to retake control of the fight. And as I said before it was basically do or die for Nazi Germany at this point. And as impressive of it was to see thousands of German panzers building up for another major offensive. It was also a huge sign of desperation just through everything they have at the Russians and hoping they could break through. But in the end it became a massive tank graveyard for German Panzers and Russian tanks a like however the Russians had 10s of thousands to expend on the battlefield with out taking a major hit to morale or combat effectiveness like the Germans . As if the Germans lost 100 tanks in one of the Battlefield sectors would have been a massive set back and If the Russians lost 500 tanks there it would be like Its okay comrade we have another 1500 coming over that hill lol. One of the thing that make it worse is that Hitler forced all the field commander to halt the attack until Ferdinand are available in quite significant(spoiler, they never have enough and too heavy with engine too easy to catch fire and no way to protect itself from infantry) number, delaying the battle of Kursk for several months, several months that USSR badly needed to erect their multi layer defensive position across Kursk salient. Had they not wait for the Ferdinand to be available, either while the Wehrmacht still lose but inflicting much more massive casualties among USSR's Red Army rank, or they're able to break through the small number of hastily erected defense and, perhaps(since nobody could be sure and I have no data upon Red Army limit in capability to stomach losses at 1942) break the USSR fighting force back, giving either respite to get stronger, or pushing back(Which I think what Hitler would go screaming to his commander, asking to do exactly that) while Red Army is still in chaos and have no capability to mount a worthwhile counter attack.

damn, those isu 152 gave them hell!!! and the churchill III gaves me chills!!!
their t34 have stabilizers, hans!
What was that tank in the side ambush I think I never seen it?
In WoT its a tier 3 chinese td, dont think it ever existed but once you hide the hull behind a bush it looks like a regular ZiS 3 gun.
Amazing video
Well if it's a battle between Russians and Germans...why's a Churchill involved in this? 2:19
Britain wasn't the only country sent war material also the soviets got many shermans and churchills. Also there was the red star on the churchills meaning it was a soviet tank.
Yeah, its one of the Churchills lend-leased to Soviet Union by Britain that saw action during the battle of Kursk.
Ever heard of the 'lend-lease' tanks?
Its Churchill III i think
i like the use of the Churchill because the 5th guards tank army used them in the battle of kursk. I love the use of the tanks at kursk but i wish there were more panzer III. The panzer III was the most used german tank during the battle of kursk but other than that this is amazing.
Russians playing war thunder: what is that music?
