This is a really good video! I am a total beginner and made two beautiful cups for myself as I am large breasted. Now I just want to learn how to make thicker straps for these cups so i can wear it. All the patterns show skinny ties behind the neck and that is not a good look for me and they dig into my neck. I want a strap that comes from the armpit up and over and buttons to the 1.5 inch under-band with a button or two. I will continue to look. Thanks for the great tutorial!

how to make it less pointy?
Not sure
I did the last two rows of the square shorter -2 -1 and it got slightly rounder, then when I did the L it was less pointy (but not by much)
