I've been to a couple of chiropractors and the last one I went to was pretty good. He did the back cracking shit, but he also gave me a list of exercises to do that improved my posture also. I don't go anymore, because it was fairly bullshit, but I did learn a fair bit from it and I just observe my posture on my own and exercise and stretch accordingly.

You have to find a good chiropractor if you want things to actually get better. My father, who works landscaping and loading/ unloading cargo planes every day started to suffer from carpal tunnel really Bad and had bad back problems. He went to a good chiropractor who do this little adjustment push spring thing, and when laying on the table, one foot was literally 1 inch higher up then the other. After 1 adjustment his feet were perfectly aligned, and after repeated adjustments he didn't have to have surgery from carpal tunnel and its completely gone.
