I was inspired to return to church after 30 yrs away by an unplanned walk into the beautiful St Helens Cathedral in Helena Montana during vacation. I was flooded with awe at the beautiful stained glass story of the Bible and soft chant music playing: I stayed for 3 hrs in prayer on a Friday afternoon. It was the best vacation I ever had.

Whatever happened to the Catholic tradition🤔.
Have you seen the strange pastiche they are calling a liturgical dance, that resembles a depiction of a bad imitation of the influence of a chinese/southeast Asian, buddhist- themed, multi- cultural tourist event, set on a stage done up as the sanctuary of a catholic church, just to add a tad of tradition😮.
If you have, but lately, come to the beauty of the Catholic tradition or, at least it's meaning for you, if that is not considered to be too personal or selfish, or shameful, in the true Catholic tradition, something to be sacrificed for the greater good of synodality.......well do you have to go doubt your own senses for instance, your sense of appreciation that is attached to a sense of your gratitude that you have been given something, even a gift, that hitherto, you did not have the ,,sense,, to understand, and now you notice that inside that gift of added gratitude, you may find yourself sensing or sensitive to, even smaller or simpler gifts within gifts.
Of course this sounds like an analogy to the Bible passage that says, ,,the kingdom of God is like a mansion with many rooms, or it might be like a beautiful piece of hand made cabinetry with different spaces or drawers to hold things or it could be a piece of art in the form of a book displaying to the reader in written and pictorial form an exploration of a person's life, good, bad and indifferent as buffeted by dozens of subcultures rubbing up against others trying to coalesce into an integrated perspective, while meanwhile the chaos created by clashes within clashes within culture wars with in an ever-changing, shape shifting pop culture derived from raiding social and cultural movements and religions across time,... shifts us, into, of all things identity politics to try to prevent cultural genocide amid this embarrassment of riches of , we have created but which won't fit back into Pandora's box.
So if the synod on synodality is like trying to resize the box, or to fit the lid back on to it, now that it seems to have been blown off, perhaps by the chaos promoted by forces within it and without, then this is perfect timing for testing the faith, as it has stood, not for aligning it with the ,,times,,.
For the sake of moderation if not modernization, and Jesus said, He came under the sign of peace.
