I’m almost always disappointed with covers of classic video game music because the original gives me a nostalgia that nothing else does, but this was a pleasure to listen to.
This is one of the catchiest themes in VG history, and your cover captured every detail perfectly. Worthy of being included in the OST if they ever do a remake of Super Metroid!

Wow, this is the sound of nostalgia. It sounds as good as I remember the game being, if that makes sense. The mind plays tricks the older you get. Every time I listen to the original and think fondly back on the amazing experience of playing Super Metroid for the first time, my mind makes the memory just a little bit better than it actually was. Somehow, this rendition sounds as good as the ultra-polished memory I have of my first time entering Brinstar: there is a palpable sense of adventure as the music fades in, panning from side to side, while the elevator continues its descent and who-knows-what awaits me. This is phenomenal. Thank you so much for making this.
My gosh, this deserves so much more recognition. This song has always echoed through my bones, and this HD remake/remaster perfectly recaptures that with no compromises.

Now THIS is a proper cover! You got the sound just right! It has those beautiful, dark, atmospheric pads, exotic synth marimbas (or maybe kalimbas), the awesome electro synth bass and percussion. Great job!

I've always wanted to hear the backing "choir" sort of sounding part during the main melody of the song in isolation, I always get glimpses of it when different sound effects take up the same audio channel as the leading "instrument" and I always want to hear more

Super Metroid soundtrack is the best I remember of any videogame, this is the best song in that soundtrack and your cover is the most accurate on youtube.
you sir, madame, or otherwise are the best metroid cover artist I've ever seen. these sound like literal prime renditions of the tracks. other metroid cover artists usually lose the feel of the original, but yours adds more intricacies while still not hurting what the original had. love it, only SM covers that've ever been competitive with the originals for me.

Well done! One of the best, most faithful remixes I've heard so far. Incredible! This is m favourite tune of the entire game. It has such a 90's retro cyber-punk feel to it somehow.

Amazing, great recreation of the original sounds, you totally were very careful with the Kalimba/Marimba at the beginning and the bass lines. You should try doing Rocky Maridia, Wrecked Ship or even Mother Brain's Theme.

This is Sooo good! Wow. Best rendition of this I have heard. I can't stop listening to it. The bass kick attack matched with the plucky bass line is awesome and so faithful to the source material. All the sounds are very well recreated. If they ever fully remake super metroid I hope they use your version or atleast something close to this. You have a good ear! I specifically aimed for that match between the kick and the bass. In fact, the challenge was to insert a proper kick drum in there, since there is no actual kick drum in the original - instead, they use this bass sound with clicky attack to suggest a kick drum that isn't actually there, strategically saving a few bytes in the process. Amazing, great recreation of the original sounds, you totally were very careful with the Kalimba/Marimba at the beginning and the bass lines. You should try doing Rocky Maridia, Wrecked Ship or even Mother Brain's Theme.

This is Sooo good! Wow. Best rendition of this I have heard. I can't stop listening to it. The bass kick attack matched with the plucky bass line is awesome and so faithful to the source material. All the sounds are very well recreated. If they ever fully remake super metroid I hope they use your version or atleast something close to this. This and the other Brinstar song you remade are both great. Please remake more Super Metroid songs in the future. Thank you and Subbed 👍🏻
You have a good ear! I specifically aimed for that match between the kick and the bass. In fact, the challenge was to insert a proper kick drum in there, since there is no actual kick drum in the original - instead, they use this bass sound with clicky attack to suggest a kick drum that isn't actually there, strategically saving a few bytes in the process.
