The allure of thrillers lies in their ability to captivate our senses, forcing us to teeter on the edge of our seats, our palms clammy and hearts racing. They skillfully intertwine suspense, tension, and anticipation, drawing viewers into complex narratives filled with unforeseeable twists and turns. From the shadowy alleyways of Hitchcock’s masterpieces to the high-octane chases in contemporary blockbusters, the genre has undergone significant evolution, but the essence remains - to thrill, to shock, and to mesmerize. Quickly then, here's counting down the 20 greatest thriller films of all time.
The Day of the Jackal (1973), Fred Zinnemann

Set in East Berlin, this film provides a haunting look into the lives of those surveilled by the Stasi. It’s a poignant tale of humanity and redemption amidst political paranoia.
    Memento (2000), Christopher Nolan
