It's not fully understood, but these reactions could be due to individual differences in how we process sound, personal associations with that sound, or a heightened sensitivity to certain stimuli. The gag reflex is generally a defense mechanism to prevent choking, but in the context of misophonia, it might be triggered due to a kind of cross-sensory processing error or a strong disgust reaction to the sound. For those curious, the girl suffers from misophonia (the fear of certain sounds). I have misophonia, but specifically towards things that vibrate like shower glass, exercise balls, guitars, etc. The best way I could describe the feeling when hearing such sounds is getting anxious and having a fight or flight reaction to whatever is making the sound. She seems to have a disgust feeling towards it. There isn't a set study or theory as to what causes misophonia, but if I had a guess, it started during infancy when such sounds startled or scared a child. This is why some people get anxious during thunderstorms, even till adulthood.
That's not misophonia imho. It's more likely just sensory disgust. As you say, misophonia involves heavy aggression or flight impulses. She only shows disgust. Also, she causes the sound by herself. Misophonia is usually only triggered by sounds other humans cause (as long as there are not also other traits like SPS).

@@Ron_Burgundy1009 I see we have an expert here. The first two ARE the problem. Even if the reserve opens automatically, many sports parachutes fall too fast (and usually reserve parachute have similar characteristics as the main one), and you need to slow them down before landing. Therefore, if you become unconscious or paralyzed, there is a huge risk of death or serious injuries, despite landing under a fully opened parachute. @@mdbk2 i didnt say i am expert.. i said put things in perspective.. i meat people with ca 6 to 8 thousand jumps .. and they never had any problems.. so put "often" in perspective
@@Ron_Burgundy1009 We're talking about fears, not statistics. People are more afraid of flying in a plane than driving a car, despite the latter being more dangerous. It's the same with skydiving; the most scary things are related to things over which we have no control. Also, on average, a skydiver needs to use a reserve parachute every few hundred jumps (I think the average is around 700, but for more professional skydivers [>1000 jumps] is closer to 400-500), so it's basically impossible that your friends with 6-8 thousand jumps never had any problem. Ask them how many times they had to use a reserve and you will get a different response.

The lit match close-up was very cool! One of the best smells too. Great effort also by the trainer putting her body on the line to protect that seal. ⭐️
It's actually the other way around. Owls hunt and eat hawks, and are significantly stronger than them. The hawk didn't know it was an owls nest and entered by mistake, notice how the hawk immediately grabbed the owls feet, thats because the owl would have ripped him to shreds otherwise. Really close call for the hawk.

The exact statistics can be found on the USPA website, the ones I mentioned are not the most common, but they can happen despite how well trained you are - which is why they are so scary to us.
That hawk got some serious had some serous rizz to do that.
2:20 The owl was like, "so you have chosen death"
hawk- let me leave
XD
0:33 Pawfessional, do not cattempt.
This is the most adorable comment i've ever found on youtube
2:30 Owls are the assassins of the bird world. that hawk must've been SH--ING itself
I can relate to that feeling of being bothered by a sound to the point of wanting to throw up. For me, it's the screech that chairs with metal legs do when they're moved.
Have you had an autism diagnosis? if not, you might want to look into it.
@@jon...5324 well, besides that single one, I don't show so many other symptoms to be within the spectrum, although for a while I suspected to have ADHD, but I don't have all the symptoms from that either...
I'm glad I've gotten to know a family of local crows. I can see the body language in that hawk going "O MY DEAR GOD I AM SO SORRY, I DIDN'T REALIZE YOU WERE HERE."
My guess is either the hawk was checking out the human made nest for itself for the nesting season or was hoping to get some free eggs from a songbird that couldn't put up a fight.
@YOZISGOD: And WE'VE exposed you for the TROLL that you are!!!

The white blood cells attacking the bacteria is one of the coolest thinks I have ever seen
That was not a bacteria.
Not a bacteria. I can’t even fathom a bacteria cell that freaking huge.
@@a.jperez202 Correct - it's an amoeba, not a bacterium, but that doesn't take away from how cool it is!
it would actually be so scary to get stuck to the plane while skydiving omg
I didn't ask, but I made a Hilarious video of a woman crying about her dog being put to sleep because I make superior content 😂 ✨️

I wonder what their conversation was. “Listen, man, I mistook your home for my home, so I just barged in, and…”
The girl at 0:55 is the most relatable ever. My sensory issues can get so flipping bad sometimes they get me just like that--
Glad to see the skydiver safely landed , mostly everyone would feel they would die if they were in his position.
with the Styrofoam person they aren't over-reacting it does actually feel like that, i have a massive problem with nylon whenever it gets scratched or if i feel it and it actually feels horrendous like your hole body starts shaking and it makes you feel sick, its really vile
we know she is not overreacting
The lit match close-up was very cool! One of the best smells too.
Great effort also by the trainer putting her body on the line to protect that seal. ⭐️
How the Owl perfectly held down the Hawk's talons was Amzing.
1:38 , that's actually not bacterium, but protozoans!
She felt uncomfortable with Styrofoam. As for me. It's metal being scrapped and some sharp marker noises gliding across paper. My ears couldn't 😭🙏
2:33 A RUclipsr found another RUclipsr's video !
*Excellent*
😮
sometimes people forget just how heavy seals actually are lol
Actually, it was rather surprising that she wasn’t hurt at all because they weigh quite a lot!!
Yeah, but she should have known.
When I saw that thing land on her, I instantly thought "Yeah, at least one broken rib, if not more."
sea lion
i winced hard and VERY audibly said "yikes" during that laptop boat clip
I thought every skydiver's worst fear was pulling the parachute cord and an Acme anvil coming out instead of the parachute
Glad he's okay
Or a spare tyre.
The owls that stood its ground against the hawk was awesome!
That is the bird equivalent of the "You picked the wrong house fool" GTA San Andreas Meme. XD
@cadebecker2486 True regardless of species.. Stand your ground, Protect your family! Have an AWESOME week ahead.
Hawk was like: "chill, chill, we're all birds here! "
1:26 You can tell that the person whipped out their phone while dying cos their dog was somehow bouncing on a ball on the wall 🤣
It's not the fact he brought the laptop, it's the speed he chose to drive at which ultimately ended the laptop lol. That close up match shot is so cool!
I put my hamster in a sock and slammed it against the furniture
@TippyHippy stop
1:00 for me its fork scratching against ceramic plate
Never thought I would see someone near puking towards the sound of styrofoam but here i am.
The way our bodies protect us from germs is incredible.
The owl and the hawk be like :
Owl : Go away PEASANT I warned you!
0:07 "what you up to?"
"you know, just hanging out"
1:32 Cells at work
That 4v1 aint fair tho
I've never skydived, but for me, the thought of getting stuck in the plane isn't nearly as terrifying as the thought of the 'chute not opening. 😱
Oh my god, I can’t imagine how the sky diver felt in that moment
Upside down.
That bulldog just casually getting a free bungee jumping session 😂
@YOZISGOD I exposed your address and Ip
It was a Boston Terrier not a bulldog
oh i didnt know@@Cyril29a
Lol the owl one was at my old school 😂 our group in school rescued them and we all watched that moment in class lol
Don't try to catch a seal they're very heavy. 😑
And that Hawk expression was like what the hell just happened?!!!. 😂
I feel you, styrofoam girl. My noise is Velcro. It is abominable, nightmarish. It feels like I'm having an allergic reaction from my ears, sharp pains reaching down across my cheeks and temples, and down my earlobes into my brain. It's legitimately painful and even the thought or memory of it causes me to recoil in pain.
The close up of the match at the end was amazing

The hawk was holding the owls talons like, "omg, sir, calm down! SIR, omg, wrong house! WRONG HOUSE! Stop hittin' me!"

That was rather remarkable and very cute at the same time❣️🙂
Bacteria are far smaller than red or white blood cells. Average bacteria size is ~ 0.2 microns, average RBC size is ~8 microns. That was a foreign object, maybe even a protozoan, but not bacteria.
I've never seen a fisherman troll with a laptop before! Did he get any BYTES?
Nice. Reminds me of that old joke about a fisherman sitting close to the water, looking patiently at the bobber on the water surface. A friendly person walking past asks politely: "Hey, how are you doing? Do the fish bite today?" And the fisherman replies softly: "No, they are really kind and friendly". 😆
