If only The Animals had lasted this long and had a coherent discography with songs and performances like this to their name. The Animals are still greater than The Rolling Stones, The Who or The Kinks.
Great video..how well i remember coming home and seeing this show on tv..this band and esp, the guitar player blew me away..i bought both albums this unit recorded Thanks for putting up....Dave
We all know the greatness of Eric but Aalon Butler on guitar and Alvin Taylor on drums were two of the greatest live performers I ever saw , they both make my top ten , saw them at the agora in Cleveland in 75 one of the most memorable shows I saw.
*First off many Thanks for The Very Rare Footage Upload!!---This Fn Rocks!!!!"It`s too bad Eric always seemed to get screwed over by Record Companies,Bad management,lawyers,etc...Can't say he was never boring , think just for a minute all the different types of music he put out that appealed to so many different people( And he continues to this day) Absolutely mind blowing!!*
There are many reasons why Eric Burdon is great.....and this is one of them. I've never heard this before and I'm a HUGE fan. What a great discovery! This is blues rock at its finest. All we seem to have from new artists these days is what W.C. Handy called soulless soul. What a shame. Thank God for the real deal. Victor lewis
This is awesome, and that move where he drops down to the floor and pops back up, is amazing! Very limber back then! Plus the tight bell bottoms and silk shirt are a bonus!
I specifically was searching for anything live with Eric and Aalon. I hear some vocals and guitar that influenced Judas Priest. Especially on the Sun Secrets and Stop albums.
Two things: 1] I ran out and grabbed a copy of Sun Secrets after seeing this..was really disappointed, it did not have a fraction of the raw energy or verve of this performance and 2] I hear that Eric Burdon's book ("I used to be an Animal but I'm Alright Now") is a really page turner, he knew where a lot of bodies were buried, as it were...
kbbooth7416 Wow...last I looked there was only music from the album here. The live is soooo much better. I had a recording from a replay from a Cleveland radio station. I learned to play guitar around this time and I know I ripped off a lot of Aalon's style, esp that waa-waa scuffing.....great guitar player..great band!!
Hmm, thit might work..He did a great job with Page. Hiram would pull off the guitar parts no problem. Have you ever heard cowbell and haunting in the same phrase? gives me rightous chills
That band kicked ass!!!
Amazing Band 🎸🥁🎸... Eric🎙️was certainly very well accompanied... perhaps his "best" band after Animals!
If only The Animals had lasted this long and had a coherent discography with songs and performances like this to their name. The Animals are still greater than The Rolling Stones, The Who or The Kinks.
My God! The combination of testosterone and artistic creativity is a heady mix!
DUDE!!! I saw this when it aired on Don Kirschners Rock Concert in 1974!! I had a reel to reel recording of the audio I wore out!! THIS IS AMAZING!!
Love the song! Music is soooooo lethal and cool, eric is one super cool guy

I'm always amazed at Eric's performance. He always puts everything into it and it's so fucking visible here

Great stufff Love it----!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I thought that Eric is a typical rock'n'roll and blues singer but he could sing even in Black Sabbath lol :-) He feel also heavy rock...
Never boring. Animals, New Animals, Jimmy Witherspoon, War, Eric Burdon Band (right here). Every one was different. The BEST!!
Love Eric but im not a rock fan, however this performance is awesome

You should buy Mirage, that's the album where this song is featured on.
You know, I can’t help but believe that young members of the band The Cult saw this show and later strove to build this kind of energy ....
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hes about age of my dad. But he was hot at this age
Hey Bronson! Great job! More videos with songs of the album "Sun Secrets"?
@Paisley- Aalon Butler is on guitar and Randy Rice on bass.

Willie Gilbert I keep imagining Chris Robinson and Hiram Bullock covering this, with a tight-ass rhythm section, right?

This is like a trial run for the Red Hot Chili Peppers!
There is no need to insult Eric Burdon like that.
muy caliente!!! And I don't even speak Spanish....
