Ei-chan sounds to me a little like Yuna Imada when the latter was just starting to learn death-voice a decade ago. Within 2½ years, Yuna became arguably THE best female screamer in Japan until her 2021 retirement due to poor health (her replacement was none other than Emily Arima). IOW, I think Ei-chan is still learning the ropes, but with practice will soon reach Sakura's level and probably go beyond. I'm VERY glad Heroines hasn't dropped the screams!
@@Soufriere84 Indeed, Yuna Imada used a technique more similar to "shriek" than "growling", btw i'm talking about the name of the technique, not the difficult itself, as an example, in the Death metal the singer does "growls" what is commonly known as "death vocals", in other genres like Black Metal (little more teathral than death) the singer does "Shriek" or "Grunt" and these 3 techniques are different than "screaming", "Pig Squeal", "fried voice", "screamo", "raspy voice", etc. By the way, Arima is usually versatile in that sense, and usually uses more than one technique in her works. PS: I'm not trying to instruct anyone through this comment, I just want to make this theme more known, also if I made anyone feel bad, I apologize, it was never the intention.
Ei-chan's vocals in this song are absolutely amazing! She sounds like she's dying, but in the best way possible. The cutest makings of a death metal vocalist!

I really wanna like this.. but the re-use of "ladybaby" after Kuromiya Rei, Kaneko Rie , and Beard-chan (Richard Magarey "LadyBeard") all have left just seems wrong. Add in the fact that none of the 3 others that joined Kaneko Rie in the 3rd version of the group.. are here.. Really seems wrong to me. That's my only complaint with the "new" group. otherwise great.
Rie was asked to return and she turned down the offer (no one knew at the time it was because she had reconciled with Rei and they were about to restart their duo period). It's extremely likely another reason Rie said no was that Emily became PassCode's screamer in 2021, replacing the ailing Yuna Imada, so it was impossible to get all of LB-3 back together. Personally, I as an OG fan quickly found myself liking Ladybaby more WITHOUT Richard in it
That's because the old lineup had Emily, a genuine metalhead, writing her own stuff -- the current lineup doesn't have anyone like her, and she wasn't able to return because she's screaming for PassCode now

You could have all of the talent in the world, and it would still be weird that you're using LADYBABY for your group's name. None of the original members are here anymore, just call it something else! It's like you're just coasting off of Rei and Rei's success. If any original fans are wondering, they have a new group called REIRIE that is amazing!
