Cheers for the clear run through with helpful info. I am getting a Polaris-finally-next winter to join my Cat and Doo, so it’s great having you showng riding and mods on both your sleds. Shit breaks, parts are hard to find, and winter is short; having two rides is the way to go.
@@JasonMcMurray BTW how about changing the title of this vid to something like: “All the mods on my Polaris Khaos and Arctic Cat Alpha; sus, switches, track, running boards, etc.” It will help more people find this good info.
Nice sleds I watch Matt’s channel often you guys rip hard!! Reminds me of the old days Polaris triple 580 in the cascades!! Stay safe keep on shredding
I’m new to snowmobiling. I got to play on a 2017 m8000. My sleds are 2002 ski doo old school tanks so I’m selling all 3 and upgrading to a used alpha or khaos. I’ve found some semi locally. What should I go with? Not a lot of powder days where I’m at. Want to do small jumps and drops and playful re- entry style stuff. Thanks for any input
Now that you've ran the QD2 gearing would you do it all over again? I have a 2020 QD1 850 as well and thinking about going to the 50t bottom gear QD2 setup. Thanks in advance.
They are pretty similar I would say. I thought that the Polaris being an 850 belt drive it would out perform in the power delivery but if anything I feel like the Cat gets out of the hole a little quicker. There's a ton of factors gearing, track, suspension setup etc. But that's why I geared the Polaris down and put a 3" track hopefully it makes it work with my style!

Digging the Vader look! 👌🏼
Hey Jason great channel! A question which is better for the AC 800 Ctec2, Bikeman velocity or GBB quiet?
What you call blacked out we refer to a murdered. Look good Jason

I would go khaos as the alpha is not as great on crappy snow
Awesome! Thank you
I will be hunting for a khaos
nice video

100% love it wouldn’t ride without it now!
Yeah buddy!
hey jay we miss u at work!
Nice rides bud
Can you share the parts you used to upgrade from qd1 to qd2 please. Wicked sleds keep shreading.
All you need is the lower QD2 sprocket and belt. You can use the stock upper sprocket
@@JasonMcMurray thanks for the info
So could a cat flipper fit on a Polaris throttle body?
no its not a direct fit
HOW DOES THE CAN COOKER WORK?? Mine NEVER gets hot enough to heat food… 😢
You gotta be on the gas a lot to get it good and hot! lol
@@JasonMcMurray guess deep days in idaho aren’t enough haha gotta get my ass to CAN again
Why no trencher bumper on the cat. With all the other trenchers stuff you have?
I was working with itek to develop a short bumper.
@@JasonMcMurray Ahhh. Is that the rogue bumper? If so for the average rider is that worth the upgrade?
How do they compare in power delivery?

How Come you don't ride the cat with Matt?
Did you lower your seat too?
It’s shaved down about an inch!
It's a snowmobile not a lawn mower
