    I still feel dumb thinking back to when I thought lebron was the goat. This man on top of being the greatest finisher was literally the best mid range shooter of all time. No one took more or made more at higher percentage. And arguably best defender at his position. Only sg top 5 in blocks and steals.

      I would argue Michael Jordan is a top 10 defender of all time at any position because he won a defensive player of the year over Hakeem Olajuwon and he is tied for the most first team all-defense selections ever despite the crazy amount of energy he used on offense.

    The real reason why Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time is because he is by an absolute light-year the greatest playoff performer that ever lived. It is not debatable. He averaged 33.5 points per game and nobody else was over 50 playoff games played even averages 30.
    Nobody ever argues about the playoff performance in the goat debate and they really should because it's where your performance matters the most. Some people say that Wilt Chamberlain was the greatest scorer of all time but he became an average player in the playoffs. Michael Jordan literally improved significantly in the playoffs against harder competition because he didn't take the regular-season as seriously. And he improved even more slightly in the finals.

I find it laughable that they try to compare a mere mortal to him. Technically the Camera quality was actually very good in the 80's and 90's, as good as today pretty much. The reason why it looks awful is actually the conversion from analog (film/old skool Broadcasting tech) to Digital (modern day HD stuff) The Camera's from the 90's can record better detail than 8K.
    It's just the conversion from analog to digital of a lot of these, would have been done in the early 2000's, and the conversion back then sucked.
    If the person who made this had access to the Broadcast film, they would be able to make a perfect 8k image. Watch the last dance, you will see most of the footage looks perfect like today, because they could access the original master Tapes/Films, and conversion today is really good. This is way many 80's Movies still look good today and many 90's Movies look perfect today, they remaster them from original films with brilliant modern day analog to digital conversion techniques/software.

    • @rdramos13
      @rdramos13 Год назад

      Not to mention that a lot of what was recorded was recorded on video tape. Video tape degrades over time, thus reducing the video quality. Another issue with tape was that on every viewing, every fast forward and rewarding, was that the tape was stretched out slightly. The slightly microscopic stretching and pulling, slowly damaged the tape, which reduced video quality. So by the time to digital transfer, there was a lot of source material that was already damaged, and reduced quality.

    The Detroit Pistons could not guard Michael Jordan. Their strategy of hard fouling him was their only way to try to contain him. The Pistons beat the Bulls because they were a much better overall team in comparison to the Bulls, Jordan did not have the supporting cast to beat a great team like the Pistons early in his career, but that does not mean they could guard Michael Jordan.

    Here is how good Jordan is, and no one else has mentioned this. Over 85% of the league MVPs throughtout history have been big men (centers or power forwards). Before Magic, only two guards in NBA history had ever won MVP : Cousey and Oscar. Jordan not only won MVP at the shooting guard position, but he absolutely DOMINATED the entire league from that position. Jordan is the only shooting guard in NBA history to win multiple MVPs. That shows how difficult it is to dominate the game from that position. Not only did he do it, but he became the greatest to ever do it, while playing the most difficult position to dominate from!

    Just remember that was in an era where they did play actual defense and you could get away with much more physical contact without being called for a hard foul or thrown out and he was still doing that to pretty much everyone even with multiple bodies in his way and taking contact when going to the basket.
    In today's powder puff era with little to no defense and fouls being giving for the barest of contact he would have a field day and run riot on scoring......most of the moves he was doing back then has never been replicated since and he was smooth doing it whereas today's stars look anything but.
    He was simpy on a different level and he did it at both ends of the court and missed very few games year in year out (over a seven consecutive year period he missed a total of just 7 games - he was the scoring champion each of those 7 years averaging 30+ppg each time) that equals GOAT.

When you can use either hand you make the best decision and he did.

    The reason Jordan is the Goat and LeBron isn't is because everything LeBron can do Jordan did it better and Jordan did thing's that LeBron can only dream of doing.

    Jesus isn’t the messiah real name so I no longer take offense to it.

    I don't like LeBron's attitude, demeanor, behaviour or his game. MJ is so much better. He's not just better he's the Greatest of All-Time. (The GOAT) Plenty of Kobe fans convinced me that LeBron is not the 2nd best player in history, it's actually Kobe. I don't want to watch Grandpa James playing basketball anymore. He's turning 39 in Late December. It's time for the attention to go to the younger much more athletic players in the NBA. Jordan has outclassed LeBron in Scoring Titles 10-1 and 50+ Point Games 31-14 in favour of MJ.

      Not gonna talk bad about any era , todays game has more athleticism but the 90's was bumpin and grindin for real much harder and tougher, nba players today even say he's the best , all players today can play in the era back then and vise versa, even players like larry bird would do well today, lebron might have actually been a better player back then due to needing to be tough , but he not on jordans level, lets say jordan was in a weaker era , who would stop him today? and ill wait
