No, but you can throw your mushroom cap at things and you can control them. The only thing you can do though is climb up trees and release spores to infect other bugs. I think they call it "Cordycepsification".
If someone like these kind of games, there's also Mail Time. Light platforming, fun characters and dialogs. And also a capybara but you cannot ride it, sadly.
This is one of the first games I showed to my girlfriend and she immediately got into it. This game is the perfect amount of cute and basic gaming mechanics. Now she wants to try more ! So yeah, if you want to share gaming with a partner, start with this.
I see what they were going for with the artstyle, I just think it doesn’t work because of the simplistic geometry and terrain, it just screams low budget and makes it look boring.
Thank you so much for the review!! Really warms my heart to hear you enjoyed it and totally got the vibe I was going for
Is this coming to playstation? Would love to get all the trophies on this one.
Hey SomeHumbleOnion!
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I'd love to see a sequel! 😉
Your game is fantastic! I'd love to play more!
You had me at "sail a capybara across a lake"
Game of the year!
sometimes it's nice to just have a cute little game for an afternoon/evening
I can imagine this being some kids first game, and I think they'd be having a blast. Good review
Exactly - looks absolutely perfect for a small kid to learn about platform gaming. And a sweet, relaxing game for a tired parent... 😊
This is adorable! The movement mechanics and landscape structure reminds me of my childhood playing Ty The Tasmanian Tiger
A short hike was great. I'll need to check this one out.
Try Lil Gator game too if you enjoyed that
@@chunderjack thanks for the rec I'll look it up
Can you eat italian plumbers to get bigger ?

thanks for the review. Happy to hear the full game hold up from the lovely demo. And comparison to A Short Hike is an excellent sign.

Sweet. I've getting my nieces and nephews into gaming on switch and this sounds perfect.
I was interested from the get-go but you really sold me at "riding a capybara"
Have this on my qishlist, but I'm gonna wait for a sale. $20 is stee for 3hrs of gameplay
Looks like a smaller scale non combat botw which is something that seemed like a good idea to try.
If you like the idea, Lil Gator Game is also a cute BOTW inspired game, though it has "combat" but not really
This has Lil Gator Game vibes all over it.
You really buried the lede there about riding a capybara
the art remined me of wind waker
and the glider and the stamina wheel of breath of the wild

A Short Hike was one of my favourites. Is this related?
Really like art style, reminds me a bit of Wind Waker
A cute game. But imagine it with the visual quality of Ori and the Blind Forest, that would be such a cute slowdown and relaxing game.
Can you replay it when you finish it nc 3 hours isnt alot if you cant play again
Absolutely adorable
This looks amazing.
what a nice little game
This looks adorable
A bit too violent and sadistic for me
I feel sorry for the mushroom that's been literally WASTED on this game. ಥ︹ಥ
Poor Smushi will never come home. lol
CC pls 🙏
HI
10/10 for smushiness, would be better with an Arm though :D
Game seems almost exactly like Lil Gator Game.
I see what they were going for with the artstyle, I just think it doesn’t work because of the simplistic geometry and terrain, it just screams low budget and makes it look boring.
Will probably skip on this one.
Even more of a zelda ripoff than tunic
