If 1st part of a sentence is in past then 2nd part will also in past if I write without inverted commas so we must have to use would instead of Will, could in place of can..etc.

Mr Chandan for your kind information uses for would to show remote past suppose you want to show remote past routine in that case you have to use only would instead of used to like He would come late in the class daily. Showing the past routine with these words always daily per day
When you want to show past habbit in that case you can use used to/ would suppose The shephared's son used to take his sheeps for grazing.

Now again I asked to a native english speaker on hinative app about "would" that can it be used to show the less chances or possibility of happening something in future? for example: "I think he would purchase a flat" is this sentence correct? what he replied is "I think what you're looking for there is 'might'. 'I think he would purchase a flat' depends on a condition, which is why 'would' is used. For example, 'I think he would purchase a flat if he got a loan from the bank'. If you just want to express possibility, you can simply say, 'I think he might purchase a flat'.
