      International basketball MVP voting isn’t just the finals. It’s the group phase as well. So, Lebron was the most consistent player, the 4th to ever post a triple double at the Olympics.. while curry went insane during the final two games, he also got 29 points in the first 4 games…. On terrible shooting. Lebron was the facilitator for the team and made everyone a threat (not hard with the stacked team) but he’s done it his whole career. Curry is all about off ball movement or 2 man actions on screens. Lebron is a natural playmaker.there’s a reason Lebron posted near 16 - 7- 7 splits the playoffs. Curry looked like 15-1-2 splits.

      Nah. Curry only had "terrible shooting" in 1 game. Don't look at his good or bad. Look at the whole picture. As bad as that 1 game was, he shot 30-61 from the field. Shot 22-47. That's 47% from 3 over the ENTIRE series. @@holyspider9206

      The mvp was for all 6 games. Not two games. Lebron scored 4 less points than curry. But got 22 more rebounds and 36 more assists than curry. He was 1st in RPG, APG, SPG, FG%, Efficiency and PER. He was 2nd in PPG and 6th in BPG. He was also the most consistent player. And he was better on defense than curry. When they needed a stop on jokic who guarded him? Lebron did. Who tied the game vs Serbia? Lebron did. Lebron also assisted on 9 of curry's 22 three pointers. Furthermore the first 4 games curry averaged 7ppg, on 41 percent shooting and 19 percent from 3. lebron also accounted for 41% of curry's points. and he shot 27/30 at the rim aka 90%.

      The MVP is for ALL the games NOT just one, by the way the last game against serbia Lebron was the MVP why? because points is not the only thing that matters, Lebron controlled the game,, by the way some of the Curry's points were perfect passes from Lebron, Lebron had very important key offensive rebounds, Lebron not only assisted Curry the other teammates too, Lebron also scored himself and also key points at the end and now we go to my biggest complain about Curry, why I mean please someone seriously explain to me why when it comes to Curry , defense it's never important? , Lebron did ALL of that PLUS Lebron defended Jokic in the fourth quarter, why defense all of the sudden it's not important?, I mean preventing the best player to score is as important as scoring.
      Lebron was the MVP the last game against serbia because Lebron did everything and the MVP in the whole Olympics.

    Ok, people need to stop saying Steph struggled during the first 4 games. He was always in + of the +/-
    Steph was literally running routes to get guys open. Did he miss open shots? Sure. But his directives were to keep the defense focused on him. He was running around dragging multiple defenders. People would dunk off of that play, but no credit.
    Kinda like how Durant won 2 finals MVP because people (LeBron) would rather go guard Curry in the corner while ignoring a barreling Durant with the ball.

    • @FloydHarvey-f6l
      @FloydHarvey-f6l 2 месяца назад +1

      lol you say that yet he had only five assists on 13 shots? No that wasn't his directive. He is their SHOOTER! His directive is using his strength SCORING. He's not an all around player and gave up shots. Bron played both sides of the ball.
      Now concerning the GSW finals where kd carried the whole team. The stats speaks for themselves. No KD no championship Lebron was a force and had a legendary season that got eclipsed because Steve Kurr built a team to stop ONE MAN. The scariest part is when looking over the finals it's not even just that the Warriors lose without KD they didn't stand a chance.

There's a reason KD was a great player his whole career, but a WORLD BEATER when he played with Steph. Curry brought the perimeter Defense to half court, faced doubles, people grabbing him, and chasing him all over the court. It gave KD at minimum 1 defender, and eliminated all double teams of KD. Sometimes KD got WIDE open dunks, looks. Oh, and Curry easily could won those finals MVP's. He averaged 24/10/8 in 2016-17. KD didn't "carry the entire team". "no KD no championship", huh?🤣 They went 8-1 in those two finals. Oh, and they won 2x without him. Also casuals like you act like they wouldn't have other players. They gutted their bench and gave up H. Barnes, to get KD. They had won more games than any other team over the previous 3 years without him. And just won again 2 years ago, while old and without him. If you take see the mvp as a finals mvp type situation. Then it would've been Steph (like how iggy was the main defender a giant LeBron at the 15 finals and earn finals mvp... Even tho Steph was the main contributor to why they won and was the best player on the warriors by far just like this video mention) Steph kept their dream alive in the semi finals for going nuclear despite their 17 point gap with Serbia. He also the biggest reason why they won the finals with the 4 significant 3's to further the lead from France to close out the finals of the Olympics. THAT SAID, in terms of consistency and just the overall contribution both on paper and eye test. Lebron deserves it fosho. Either way it was gonna be one of them. I think his numbers could have been replaceable with Tatum and they could have called on Jaylen Brown
    I don't see any one making up for his leadership, with Curry being a different kind of leader
    Still, I'd say that USA would reach the semifinals even without LeBron
    And Curry was the most valuable player in both the semis and finals (here I mean actually most valuable, "MVP" is a different matter
    In the end, going by the definition of "the best player the whole tournament", it is LeBron but if it was "player you need the most to win gold" that would be Curry

But objectively Bron was the MVP over the course of all the games the team played. He was the leader and the person everyone looked to. Where it just about the final game that would be different. Steph had great performances in the most important games but that's not the criteria. Steph was pretty average to bad for all but the final 2 games.
    All these hype videos for Steph and Bron etc around this Olympic experience ignore the fact that they both benefited from playing with a stupidly stacked team of all time great players. Things will look different for them both when the go back to Donkey, Loon, Rui and D'Angelo.
