There's a lot of little things that made BR stand out. Things like taking a little damage on being knocked down, not from the attack, but from hitting the ground or wall. Little things that you never see other games really do. Unfortunately there were also some dumb, dumb things it did as well, like Alice's back throw that had longer recovery time than the rising opponent, leading to you ALWAYS getting spring kicked in the face when you did it. The series could definitely use a reboot.
To tell ya the truth, I like Long the Tiger because he's my favourite character ever since I started playing it on psx emulator duckstation. Good video
I remember playing the demo when I was 3. It got me into fighting games, and if not for Bloody Roar, I wouldn't have gotten into Tekken. I have the third game, and I have no idea how to play it, though.
