  • What happens when over 500 Disney characters from your favorite classic animated films are jam packed into a single TV show? And why has Disney buried it?! In the early 2000's, it was House of Mouse! Desperate aging icons, a budget conscious studio, and even animation WARFARE are just a few chapters in the story of Disney’s original shared animated universe.

It's a crime that the series isn't even on Disney+ yet, this is literally the most requested Disney Channel series that people have been waiting for years to see.

After having watched “Once Upon A Studio”, I want a reboot of “House Of Mouse” more than ever, so we can see recent characters interact with past characters. That would be cool!

I think the real reason House of Mouse ended was simply that they had no more Mouse Works cartoons to redistribute rather than the show not being successful. This show aired in reruns for the remainder of the decade on Disney Channel and Toon Disney and pretty much every late millenial/early zoomer (aka people my age) who grew up on this show still remembers it very fondly, it's one of Mickey's most beloved iterations. Always a fun show to go back to regardless though!

I personally think Minnie and Daisy had the most personality in this series.

  • @thesnesgeek

Just hearing Disney trying to modernize Mickey by actually by making a new series starring him is mindblowing.

  • @Samsishere

My favorite episode of house of mouse was when Peter Pan yeeted Donald in the fricking sky while singing and he rhymed beak with aerodynamic 💀

A club/restaurant where you watch classic cartoon shorts on a giant screen has always been my dream and always wished Disney would make a real one.

  • @moniqueperkinsmp

Kinda wish this show was on Disney+

My dad was one of the Background Supervisors for The House of Mouse, he worked on all the episodes. Fond memories growing up to the show and seeing it from behind the scenes. He passed away in 2015 but being able to watch these episodes have always been more than nostalgia for me so I'm glad that kids who grew up on it are clamoring for these to be on Disney+.

    House of Mouse

  • @xxxtentacionreed1732

We need a House of Mouse revival.

  • @diegosanchez5412

Fun fact: Mickey Mouse Works actually debuted the exact same day as SpongeBob.

  • @OpticalSorcerer

Considering 19 Disney films have been released since this show went off the air, I'd love to see a revival--plus it'd be neat to have shorts involving the film characters along with Mickey and the gang.

This quote is very important: Surprisingly, the studio, which in the recent past had been as diligently protective of its iconic characters as it was hesitant to intermingle the different character sets, came to embrace the notion. “Everybody thought it was really funny to loosen up a bit and let the characters be who they were and have some fun, instead of being so stiff,” Craig says.

  • @misterniceguy429

One of the things I remember about the show is that they did reuse animations bit. The ones I remember them reusing are Donald trying to stop a stampeding crowd from leaving only to get trampled, Mickey saying “that’s all folks” before correcting himself, and Minnie telling Horace to hit it follows by Horace hitting the DVD player with a hammer.

  • @carminecdinoproductions

I wanna see a Disney+ reboot/revival of House of Mouse, but with lots more Disney characters including some from newer movies! It could also include characters from various Disney TVA cartoons from Gravity Falls to Kim Possible to Amphibia to other shows!

  • @montanajackson3713

Now I want a HOM revival more than ever after seeing once upon a studio!

  • @ritchieplacemedia9512

When he mentioned Disney’s rivals, he was referring to the other five Hollywood Giants: Warner Bros., Sony, Paramount Global (or Viacom, as it was called in the 2000s) & NBCUniversal (or just Universal Studios).

  • @notmymain9322

Early 2000’s kid here- when RUclips first became popular, I would log onto my mom’s old computer and watch House of Mouse for hours. I still VIVIDLY remember the episode where the villains took over and sang some song that was honestly pretty badass. It was wonderful growing up on the show. It’s a crime it’s not on Disney+.

  • @BenBootKHTwo

Way back when I showed my friends the scene with Mickey having a drink of water like a hamster, they lost their minds.
