Love how you fast forward cutting the corner make it look like machine cutting. And the close up view of the whole process is outstanding. So much thoughts put in the video. The video itself is an art and you seem to master both videography and leather crafting.

I think leather crafting should be fun and not difficult. The actual work would be much more distressing if the video alone was not pleasant. And I really glad you liked my video!

Best kind of wallet. I use nearly the same design. I couldn't find it in the local shops so I made it myself. Not perfect, since it was my first leather work but still good enough for me. :) It was a little Covid isolation project.

The way you round off your corners is exactly how my old roommate would look & sound chopping up blow at 4am while I was trying to sleep. I guess there aren't very many techniques to quickly and precisely cut things up.

I love these style wallets. However for people who need to flash photo ID often, a vinyl pocket would be amazing. Every time you need to remove a card you wear out the wallet a bit and risk dropping and losing the card. Especially if it's an access card and you're carrying stuff in your other hand. My favourite wallet of all time, although crappily Primark made, is one where there's pockets on one side for cards that can be removed to use (like bank cards) and a single vinyl pocket on the other side for photo ID/access cards.
Then I sense a different wallet is called for on this occasion. Putting a vinyl window in one of these beautiful artisan wallets would go against everything that this channel stands for, imo. It would soon look tatty, scratched, and worn.
These creations are designed - and made - to last a lifetime.
@@221b-Maker-Street why would the vinyl look scratched, tatty or worn? If the edges are properly protected, which in quality work would be the case, there's little wear and tear, especially because you'd only need to remove your card that lives in it once a year / once every 5 years /... Depending on how often you get issued a replacement. It's quite common for traditional style wallets with a bill compartment and a coin compartment to have a vinyl pouch for kids pictures or whatever, and they don't wear out before the leather itself has worn out. It also seems ... Odd... That people who need to flash ID often enough that it's a hassle to remove from a slot but not often enough to justify wearing your personal information on a reel card holder can't have pretty well made wallets
