Is the drone in the cab bad? I have been looking at throwing this cat back in my 2011 eco. I drive from central Kansas to Colorado multiple times a year. While driving the interstate I don’t want the drone to be annoying.
Honestly I don't think the drone is bad, but I have bigger tires that are a little noisy so that might cover some of the droning from the exhaust, but I don't think it produces a lot of drone. I was on the fence at first putting an exhaust on a ecoboost truck but I gotta say I'm in love with how it sounds and I think it's worth the money!
I just bought a 13 platinum with 25k miles 3.5 eco in the same color. I want to do the same set up (wheels/tires/lift). What set up are you runnin brotha??
Heck yeah good find, only 25k miles!! I'm running a 3" level lift with aluminum upper a arms from rough country, and 33x12.50r20 predator new mutants on 20x12 chrome TIS 544s
What else is done to the truck? Different turbos or anything? I feel my stock truck doesn’t have those turbo whistles at idle like yours did with the stock exhuast
Ok, sounds good! I’m looking at doing 3” in the front on my limited 4WD with 33x12.50 on 22x12 with a -51mm offset. Does yours run bad? Or did you have to do a lot of trimming?
@@codypatterson9682 I'm running 2" spacers now as well and rub a little but without the spacers it wasn't bad at all, I trimmed the valance on the bumper and a little bit on the inside of fender flare thats all
Ok sweet! Where did you get your color matched FORD emblem? I have looked at a few different places but wasn’t sure how they would fit… Looking at doing an AFE Scorcher too! Have you heard of those? I will have a Injen CAI and the scorcher… Looking to maybe do a MRBP 4” exhaust with it…
I pulled it apart and color matched it myself, I have a video on how to do that if you scroll down on my page under Justin's customs, I have not heard of the scorcher from AFE@@codypatterson9682
Cut out them 🐈’s and mufflers and run 4” straight pipes and it’ll make one hell of a difference, performance wise sound wise and then turbos and engine will breathe so much better! Better mpg also
I’m a girl and I drive a 2015, 5.0 obviously a V8, 4 x 4, lariat with a 6 inch lift ,she already has an exhaust. She sounds loud but I want her to sound louder because it would just fit my truck better , I guess because she is lifted, and I am fixing to get mine hollowed out and go full straight pipe, I want mine to be really loud. I mean she’s already loud, but I want her louder. People say I’m just a girl what do I know, well, I know I want mine to sound louder
Nice any power gains? What tune do you have? I have the MPT tune and love it. Im sure you already know tune on our trucks is 100+hp. Mega sauce with tune LOL
I haven't noticed any power gain really just more noise out of the turbos and getting a deeper tone obviously, I haven't tuned mine yet due to having a warranty still but I can't wait to get it tuned once my warranty is gone to gain some power lol, huge improvements tuning with turbos compared to the 5.0
@@HagersAcres cool yeah man you need a tune!! It transforms the truck. I love my MPT tune. I have a Mazdaspeed 3 I tuned myself I data logged mpt tune looks clean. You know you can always put the stock tune back when take it in or something how would it void your warranty?
@@boostercontrol100 that's true I have thought about that, I work at a dealership myself and was told that tunes void service warranty's so I wanted to wait to get mine, but thats probably one of the next things I do to the truck

The only performance mod done to the truck besides the exhaust is a AFE cold air intake, other than that it's all stock
How did you ever even think it would sound like a honda ? I mean I'm sure you have heard of the raptor you know the 3.5 eco that sounds like a beast
