As a RUclipsr, I understand the importance of marketing.But why talk about the update, if it isn't being released until late this year? From what I've experienced,Apple is releasing the updates one at a time; so there are four additional updates until iPadOS 14?

I know that search bar will appear in home screen without keyboard if i pull down with one finger but is that feature available in apps as well? Or do i need to to have keyboard connected? Someone please reply

Are the widgets permanently on the home screen? I rarely use them so I like that I can take them out and keep them hidden when I don’t want them
Didn’t Craig Federighi say you can search from anywhere? Not sure what that means exactly though, even within opened apps? Any idea?
I wish they would allow us to swipe up home, multitask and access CC and notification with apple pencil
Like the galaxy note tablet did back in 2014.. Apple will probably add these features in about 5 years.

How do you bring up universal search without a keyboard from within an app ? Is there a way ?
Are handwritten notes searchable? For example - if you have dozens of handwritten recipes in Notes done this way, and you want to search for recipes with the word "chocolate", will it find the recipes with the handwritten word "chocolate"?

hlw sir, after updating to ipad os 14, I couldn't share my split screen or multitaksking in Google meet or any other online meet app..please help or make a video on this.. As Ipad is known for its productivity but after updating to ipad os 14...being a teacher I cudnt shre my split screen ..facing lot of problems while teaching ..please help 🙏🙏

Where can I get this App
Nebo was the first thing I thought of when I saw the scribble feature! Oof... they literally do this exact thing (including the strikethrough gesture to delete, etc.) ... it isn't a great app UI wise, in my opinion, but its handwriting recognition was seriously useful. So, I'm very glad it's been implemented OS wide, and am looking forward to taking notes for work or school. I wonder if Apple will provide an API or connection so apps can use the scribble feature without having a text box.
Hey Chris, You will know the answer and by the way your vids are awesome. I have downloaded the Beta Public version 2 and was looking forward to using the auto switch with my AirPods Pro, but it doesn’t seem to work. Am I missing something or has it not been released yet. Anyone else feel from to comment.

Scribble is going to change my world
For files, is there now an time indicator for when you’re transferring/moving files?
What for ?
Because you can’t see the progress of a file transfer (in for example iCloud) so you don’t know when transfer is completely done.

Using Nebo often, I’m so excited for scribble.
We still can’t add a reminder to the top of a list or sort through our reminders from newest to oldest in the Apple Reminders app. I hope we don’t have to wait until iPadOS15 or 16 for this.
Scribble is exactly what the Newton had a zillion years ago. I’m glad to see it reincarnated though! Curious what features people were expected but didn’t get this year?

Also with the default apps, I’m no expert but I’m assuming apps will need to be updated in order to be available as a default app, so the option may not show up until the apps are ready for it.

All these is not necessary. We need streaming hdmi with aspect ratio 16:9 and Bluetooth sharing with any software. I wish also they force application iPhone with landscape feature . And add push notification for emails as a option.

Outside of signing documents and digital art I don't understand the interest in hand writing on a tablet. Is that a boomer thing or something?
I mean I wouldnt handwrite just to convert it to plain text, but I do use it to just do handwritten notes that i can move around and customize/draw around

I’m really sad you can’t use widgets like you can on the iPhone. My favorite OS I’ve used on a tablet was windows 8 on my OG surface. I loved the tiles and when I saw the widgets I was hoping to make the first page only widgets. Oh well.
I bet it’s still being worked on... just wasn’t ready for release.

I can already see service workers like waiters tending customers with iPad mini’s with pencil support.

Shem Freeze I would imagine apps would be developed for specific use cases with pencil support built in. I imagine such apps would require the most minimal user input.

I get the need to condense but you always cut the UX before the final result and then show it after the fact. Would love to see the responses and scribble outcomes in real time.

Before 6 years I’ve changed from iPhone to Android. Specifically to Samsung Note 3 as Apple had small screens and no stylus. And no Scribble - a very similar function that my Note 3 had which is almost a 7 years old mobile. This function is now introduced to the iPad. C-mon! Do we need new technology or just the hype?
And yet they do not have function keys or at least one key which takes you to the homescreen in their 300 USD Magic Keyboard...
I might be in the minority, but I don't think i will ever use scribble in my daily routine. Typing is just faster and more reliable than handwriting.

Did anyone find how to use 'Bedtime' in Clock on iPadOS 14?
From my searches, it seems like the feature was removed (whereas on iPhone, it was moved to the 'Alarm' tab in Clock).
I've already sent a feedback to Apple to ask them to put it back, because this is a strict downgrade for no apparent reason. And 'Bedtime' was an important feature health-wise for people who used it as it helps to regulate sleep.
I would urge everyone else who is on the iPadOS 14 to send a feedback to Apple as well - if many of us do it, Apple is more likely to listen.

When I get Scribble on my foreign language (alien?) Apple watch, I will get excited. Multi billion dollar Apple could add the 3 letters. Seems foreigners are unwelcome in Apple world.
Funny how paperlike is still paying youtubers to sponsor them even though they cant even process the existing order that’s backed up.
I ordered my paperlike around March when new iPad came out and still haven’t got mine yet....maybe instead of paying these youtuber they can spend that money on producing more products
Just as a warning, if you’re gonna use paper like be sure to have something that protects your Apple Pencil it damages the tip of it
The iOS ecosystem is interesting. How they manage to hype features that have been there of years as "innovative" is something i'll never understand. Widgets! really.
