I have listened to Fr Mark's homilies for several years ... his early days of sports analogies have evolved beautifully to innate wisdom ... this is a Holy Priest, who is doing something right in his own personal prayer life, he beautifully interprets the word of God, as he shepherds his flock, not just in his assigned parish, but beyond ... God Bless Fr. Mark today and always.🤗🐞🌹

Thank you Father. I have suffered from anger that brought out horrendous behavior from myself. I've confessed but yet still fell into it again. So one is never safe. My family is broken apart involving the grandkids as well. Very very painful. But I'm trying to just grow in virtue and change myself day by day and pray for my family.

Sinful anger is difficult to overcome. I believe with God nothing is impossible ✝️🙏 I highly recommend a very insightful Catholic book: "Overcoming Sinful Anger" by Reverand Morrow. Lots of wisdom & help in this little book. Plus it quotes other insightful books too. May God's peace & healing enter your life & heart 💗✝️ God Bless 🕊

Fr Mark your homily today as other homilies very inspirational, anger without any doubt does so much damage to our life as well as others in particular people who love us so much and care of us.
You thought us today the way to deal with vices of anger that could result in us and antidote in preventing that happening in us.
    Thanks Father Mark
God bless you and your ministry.

Anger is tricky. Those of us who were abused and had to hold in all emotions in the process, can have anger blasting out at unexpected times. Its best to get help in this case.

    1) Name it to tame it, identify and admit it, expose it.
    2) analyze it. Why am I angry? Who am i angry at? What’s causing this anger.
    3) Understand your own misery. Our sins Jesus took our anger on the cross, he took it upon himself.

This was very helpful in understanding anger, the appropriate nature in specific situations and the inappropriate "hugging" and holding. It is interesting to note that the Bible verse is "... God is slow to anger ..." . It doesn't say God doesn't get angry, but that He is slow to anger and rich in kindness. There is deep wisdom here.

Hard, illicit drugs are less damaging than Anger. Through cowardice, hypocrisy and vice, we feed this “justifiable, necessary and soul fulfilling Poison.” Outrage, demeaning behavior. Which we constantly justify in gossip, to find the peace lacking in our souls. The regret and shame in our hearts. Yet our peace of mind remains shattered.

  • @kevin-gf5uz

Righteous anger when Jesus tipped over the tables in the temple. God allows all these things to happen for our sactification. Our Father - forgive us as we forgive those. If we do not forgive as God does He will not forgive us. Forgiving those frees us.

THE SEVEN GRAVE SINS ARE: GLUTTONY ENVY LUST SLOTH PRIDE GREED WRATH
Why did you say ANGER was a grave sin? Jesus got anger and hHe never sinned?
ANGER is an emotion and it’s not a sin. It’s what you do with your ANGER that causes the sin. I agree with what you were saying so either however I just wanted to clarify once again, that anger is not one of the seven grave sins. However, there’s always a possibility I could be wrong.
Thank you so much for all you do! Prayers and blessings to you always

Great talk, but it's terrible to hear a Catholic Priest use Protestant idiologies such as" the Bible says" . The Bible says nothing, it is the Church who says it and the Bible is only a guide to what the Church teaches
