Lindo el folklor de Haití, soy chileno y les doy la gracias por venir a enriquecer mis tradiciones, he visto como niños haitianos bailan nuestra cueca, nuestra baile tradicional.
@@beatrice123ful Strongest African culture compared to what and what ways? Multiple things Haitians do, you can find it in every nation in Americas. The same instruments Haitian use in their music is the same use all around Americas. I don't understand what culture you're talking about
Learn your history, that is authentic tribal afro caribbean dance and music, look up ballet folkorique, Lavinia Willams, rara which is another style of haitian music as is merengue (kompas is just a slow merengue) bolero and congo (Althierry Dorival) same as colombian cumbia (Carolos Vives, Cabas etc.) The same tribal Colombian dance Shakira does (Hips don't lie) is also a Haitian, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Brazilian, afro-carribean folklore.
That's Méringue that comes from Haiti. The dance comes from Contradans in France. It's called Kontradans in Haiti. Merengue comes from the Bolero dance in Spain and uses the same instruments with African drums and el gúiro. It's just as different as Santo Domingo and St. Domingue. Thing is France and Spain share a border, they have similarities but are 2 different cultures. I noticed Haitians like to neglect French influence in Haiti. Seriously need to get over that.
@carlapeter4864 the French also brought their dance, food and music to DR. The heart of merengue is the Tambora. The tambora is from DR not Haiti. Al thought Haiti and DR have a lot in common because of common colonizers 😊 they have their own culture. They say merengue comes from Cuba and PR too. Who do we believe? 😂 it came from everywhere except from where it originated. Make it make sense.
Hola busco un baile folklórico típico de Haití, para una representación en un evento de interculturalidad en chile. Me gustaría ofrecer éste video.

Allat Goddess but haitians are not africans, their ancestors were, haitians are caribeans!!!
@@subsystem101 Well they said right. We aren't Africans. But some of our ancestors were
@@subsystem101 You're the only one not making sense. Us Haitians are Caribbeans. Our ancestors for most, however, were Africans
@@thatguybutitsactuallyagirl5384 but we have a strong African culture, Haiti is an extension of Africa and we have Taino roots as well

@carla peter Merengue is not the same as Méringue. They both have African roots, but Merengue is DR and Méringue is Haiti

It must be the arawak language in Surinam, South America. that you recognize in the Haitian Creole.
