My guess is that the strings are made of angel hair that angels bestowed upon them. Agree with you about Saiki, and her and Miku's harmonies. Misa's bass, Akane's drums and Kanami's guitar heavenly complementary. Happy New Year.
When I watched this last Christmas it was probably the highlight of the year. The concert was just sensational. Saiki has never sounded so good and the nerves that they all said they had just worked in their favour. Simply beautiful.
My Dad has a 'western' Guitar with steel strings and it reminds me of that sound, too, but also has that nylon snap to it so I'm really not sure what it is 🤔
@@react-o-mat They used both a piezo pickup under the bridge plus a microphone aimed at the sound hole of their guitars and mixed the two sounds together through the sound board to get that sound on the guitars. Edited to add: And it looks like Kanami and Miku are both using phosphor bronze strings. The same as on my Reso.
This is one of my top 4 fav songs from this acoustic Okyu-ji. They said that they practiced really hard for this Okyu-ji because all songs except SMILE were performed in acoustic for the first time.
Not sure what strings they were, but that was Kanami on the screen when you asked about the strings (not Miku). This is such a great tune - what a fantastic song writer that Mincho is!
About Miku's sound. She is playing steel strings. Part of her sound comes from a transducer pickup under the bridge. These are made to fight feedback. You can see her guitar is plugged in with a cable at the bottom of the guitar for this signal. This is then mixed to the sound of the mic in front of the guitar. Some people find the sound of transducer annoying and unnatural hence the added sound from a regular acoustic mic. Same goes for Kanami's guitar.

yup, i kinda noticed it too man, one of them sounds like nylon string. all of their acoustics were brilliantly arranged, i hope they do more of this.

Sorry not sure on the acoustic strings...but they do use Ernie Ball strings on their (Miku, Kanami) electric guitars...
