Now please please don’t get me wrong, I love the way she sang these songs on glee but the way she sings them now on broadway as funny girl is just extraordinary.

I really like this, because this is Rachel as Fanny, and then you see Lea as Fanny and there's a very interesting diference vocally, but it's still Lea

Yes she has a nice voice but NO STREISAND who has made this song her own!!! Lea in my opinion is merely trying to duplicate Streisand's manner of singing. The late great Judy Garland once told Liza "It is better to be a first rate singer of yourself rather than a second rate performer of someone else"
i feel bad for any performer (even nasty diva Lea) trying to fill Streisand's shoes in Funny Girl. the show was written for her and she knocked it outta the park then followed it with the hit movie and a best actress Oscar - no matter how talented you may think you are you're not gonna top that.

@@markwhitman9029Not sure why the harsh comparison. There is only one Streisand. That is just a fact. However the Broadway show IS Funny Girl. Somebody is going to play the role of Fanny Brice and Lea has done an admirable job. Following in the footsteps of giants is just part of the way things are. BTW, other singers have done Streisand’s work. One in particular is Linda Eder for example. Creditable just not exactly the original.
