These would be great as “work” glasses for remodel jobs, painting, high risk yard work, etc. Also for families who can’t afford appts.and glasses. And for people in countries with low access to care and funds. Teachers could use them to find out if their students performance issues may be related vision. Maybe on the beach or hiking, to avoid risking expensive RX glasses. It’s basically like the refraction lens options at the optometrist, but attached to a frame.
I got an $800 pair of Tom Fords with the new Gen Transition lenses added, anti-glare, etc. These glasses are incredible, I was looking at these cheap glasses, they may work for some people as an alternative, but for me they’d likely be a worse option. So in my case, the more expensive the better.
If they’re good for work I would like them, just got my MK lens crafters glasses this summer, and very pricey I should of gotten bifocals. It’s hard for me to read the blood tubes in the lab and the computer. I have to take them off or slide them down my nose .
This has been seven years and I just saw a commercial for it 4/7/24. After seven years, you would think they did a little tweaking on these glasses, but they seem to look exactly the same as they did seven years ago.
I've had mine about a year. Works pretty well. Cheaply made but still working. I adjust them often for close up and distance. The adjustments still work fine. I wipe the outside glasses and leave the in between area alone. It takes a few minutes to go through the adjustment when you first take them out of the box but I can now do it in seconds. If they don't do anything for you They are probably not adjusted right. Follow the instructions. Mine work. I give them 3 stars, ok but quality could have been better. I can see the tv much better with them. Not $200 glasses but didn't cost that either.
Would love to see an update on your eye condition now. These cheap Chinese plastic lenses are really bad for your eyes, they are not optically clear and your eyes will be damaged by daily use.
Thanks for this demonstration, I looked to find out if you had Clearview glasses as I saw online a couple weeks ago and noticed it was 7 years ago under a new name but I would still buy it for a handy reading supplement due to your advice, and also seen another video you made on RUclips I might buy too, you’re great 👍
Would you recommend for computer? My glasses at the computer don’t work they way they do with just regular far sight seeing. I have to actually pull my regular glasses off my face by an inch to bring letter on screen into focus.
I purchased 3 pairs of these IN GOOD FAITH based on their false advertisement but when I got them, they were absolute garbage. The quality is very cheap, and I could not get any of them to focus properly. The company offered me 50% discount to keep three pairs of junk glasses I cannot use or pay for shipping in order to get a refund. Absolutely ridiculous that it has to cost me money to return the garbage they sell and falsely advertise. I hope that RUclips that claim to care about misinformation removes their Ads so that no more people get victimized by this company.
I probably wouldn't wear it everyday use, but I have a lot of issues getting my Rx correct for the computer use. This may be helpful to dial in better while using the computer.
Do maybe your prescription glasses account for astigmatism? When I started seeing double with road signs and things at night, I found it was astigmatism. These glasses sound like a lifesaver for me at work. Sometimes the only way I can see my computer screen clearly is to put my glasses at the tip of my nose. However distance vision such as driving is great with my standard glasses.
The people here who told of the company not replying to emails and offers that are not as they appear I thank you!, always a NO for me when companies dont reply to problems, same as ebay sellers
lost my prescription lenses at the lake, ruined the whole trip, absolutely beautiful lake ,been there many times, never been there blind, these would have saved the whole vacation, yeah I'm buying them, probably 2 pair, one for the cabin and one for my glove box, incredible idea
FYI, they may add a haze to you peripheral vision, but your peripheral was never in focus anyway. They just blend better with what is in focus. human eyes have a very limited focus area, actually
Hi, thank you for your Tests! I am searching for glasses for a specially case: Playing music in a symphonic brass orchestra. I am playing trombone. So I am fixed in my position... I only can move the eyes over the notes... Normally I wear Varifocal glasses... but they don't work here because I cannot move my head to search for the richt focus point... Additional, my myopia changes over the time and depends on Day shape. That it looks ugly is not important because I play in a big Orchstra an I'm siiting in the back row and most time I'm hidden... So I will try it. I can give feedback later...
I am fascinated by this idea but yes they are super ugly. 😂 I honestly wouldn’t mind the smaller lenses. They’re larger than my current ones actually. I just have a really old prescription and tried getting new ones and kept having to return them because they’d get the prescription wrong. I finally gave up and just kept using my old ones. 😂 But I’m really tempted by something like this that I could adjust as I need to.
I have a pair. They work, but not for your astigmatism. Also the clarity is poor, lots of glare from the 4 surfaces of plastic over each eye. However, in an emergency, they're better than having no glasses; I'd pick them over pinhole glasses as emergency eyewear
FOV and the design are big bads. I like the idea, but this is obviously not the answer. How much are they? Maybe they could be a great backup pair in case my mains break or whatever.
If you want them for just reading, that would be the best idea. If you have an actual prescription, these will fill the bill until you get your prescription replaced, whereas Walmart glasses won't. With regular magnified reading glasses, you have to choose your power. And your prescription probably won't be an exact power that they sell. It might be 2.743325 or some such. With these, until your prescription arrives, you can dial it into the exact prescription based upon your visual needs. And if your prescription is different for each eye, you can dial in each eye to the exact prescription value based on what you see. But just for reading? Nope. These are more than you need.
I hope you’re getting paid for your b-roll appearamces in RUclips Ads for these clear view glasses. (Although they will probably claiming it is free use)
what I see in this commercial is different what they send to me, the cheapest and worsted thing I ever got a fully shit out of cheapest plastic likethe cheap plastic toys for kids
ah hat sounds like how my vision is with my eye disease-i see multiples of objects (usually about 3)-playing pingpong is pretty challenging cause i have to guess which ball is "real"
They work great for working in the shop and driving at night. I don’t have to worry about breaking my nice Oakley set. I have the clear set that’s not as dorky looking.
I agree, but I was concerned about driving with these glasses because you’re constantly looking at distance and also close-up reading of your dashboard constantly. With his glasses, you can’t do both while driving, adjusting them
I was watching a RUclips video when an ad interrupted. It was an ad for these glasses, and you were shown putting the glasses on. No vocal from you, nor any claim of your endorsing, but your likeness. You know about this?
Thank you for this unbiased review! I'm just now hearing about these glasses and was considering getting a pair. So in 2017, they were $20. Now, a company called Hiro Vision is selling them at a "50% discount" of $60. So they bought them at wholesale (or below) and apparently are selling them at a markup of 3x retail. That's scummy. I would buy them for $20. But I'm not going to get them from a knock off company or from someone with an overstocked warehouse.
Since you wear the ORIGINAL DIAL VISION all the time, I wonder if it cause dizziness, headache, sore eye... anything like that ? Thanks in advance, for I am interested in getting a pair, for everyday use -- nearsightedness and reading / detail work (close up).
They are also great for folks having cataract surgery in both eyes, as you typically have one eye done, and then X days later you do the other eye. And then, after both surgeries are done-you need a new eye prescription you have to wait a long time (months). These are great in that you can still see during that timeframe where one eye surgery is done and the other is not. and then again after the second eye is done while you are waiting for healing to complete so that you can go get permanent glasses again.
Cons: Ugly, cheap feel with small field if vision. Pros: adjustable on the fly for both distance and reading. Good for a backup pair or convenient use adjusting between crafts, reading, house repairs etc around the house where no one cares how ugly they are.
Oh they won’t. I think they will keep them like this forever. Cuz if they perfect them the glasses industry would lose billions. Cuz people would only buy one or 2 pair and that will be it forever. I think it’s a great idea I’m gonna buy a pair and try em for sure. But as for them perfecting them and styling them I doubt it. It would be great if they do cuz that will actually help everyone who need glasses and don’t wanna spend almost $1k on a pair of damn glasses plus the visit and the prescription it’s stupid pricey. And then you go to a place like Americas best and they screw up your glasses over and over and over smh it’s happen to me I know. Lol terrible. So I lost over $500 on jacked up glasses and couldn’t get my money back from that terrible company.
These are total junk. Cheap plastic, feel like the free glasses you get at a 3D movies. Adjusters don’t work at all. Total, total waste of money. Don’t even consider them.
FYI: Dial Vision is now called Flex Vision and they are using your vídeo in their ad. It's at the very beginning in a split second. You're coveting one eye setting the lenses. You gave this product a mediocre review but you can't be heard. Even then they used your imsge6. They claim that it was invented 3 years ago but your review is 6 years old. Just letting you know in case you mind your image being used without your permission.
It seems quite handy for home use. My one eye is +3.00 while the other sits at -0.75 - it's a heckuva challenge to keep both eyes in focus. Adjustable lenses might be a solution
I thought the same thing, but I don’t think the distance sight and near site would work with his glasses while driving when you’re constantly looking at the distance in front of you and then looking at your dashboard read out
I would think the purpose of these glasses is eliminating the need for having many reading glasses of strengths ranging from +1.00 to +4.50. Using them instead of actual prescription glasses for far vision is a bad idea due to peripheral vision. Hopefully these are good for hobbyists, mechanics, etc. - those that need the ability to focus from arm's length to an inch in front of the nose.
There was a company called Superfocus about 10 years ago. They didn't make it, went bankrupt, had a lot of funding. They were $600 and worked perfectly...I had a pair. They were very, very ugly.
Its funny they used you in their advertisement. It doesn't matter that you were a little critical, because they just muted you and all that was left was you wearing the glasses smiling. I wonder did they pay you something?
Four years ago I was at the eye doctor and was asked if I wanted to help with the development of a product. A kind Asian man who was working on making this type of glasses for children in need asked questions and ran tests while I wore them. Basically I was at the eye doctor for an extra hour but got paid $15 to do so.
When I saw these being advertised online, I thought it was odd that they didn’t show one person actually wearing these glasses! If you look at the pictures of people, happily reading, and doing things, they are not wearing these glasses! I was afraid of what they would look like, so I did not order them and came to RUclips and thankfully here you are!
Many RUclips ads today are like that, total scams selling a product but never showing it or using other people's videos such as this one. A few clips of him putting these on are now showing up in the new PrimaFocus ad campaign selling the same product, just under a different name.
Cool idea and everything but could definitely use some serious upgrades such as maybe somehow making the entire lens adjustable and having different frame styles for sure.
Beware ...not what they show on TV. Very poor quality frame n lens.. Look like toy stuff and Especially in India very bad Return Policy... Not at all worth a penny..
Good review. Thank you. I don't know if I will be getting them or not. I spit coffee out when you said you were seeing triple street lights and they are pretty ugly.
excellent as a back up. think outer limits, end of the world all the time to read and then you break your glasses. these are excellent, no optometrist needed! apocalypse goggles!
Just got new glasses this year for the first time in 4 years, and decided to splurge on a pair of matching prescription sunglasses. Now I have trouble remembering to switch to my indoor glasses when I go into stores. I’m pretty sure if I wore THOSE glasses into a store, folks’d look at me even funnier than they do now. Lol. Great review.. I was wondering about these things.
Eventually scientists will develop a pair of glasses that use electrical energy to morph the lens into the right shape for the eye. Much like the cabin windows on the Boeing 787.
I COMPLETELY agree with you. Mine don't work AT ALL EITHER- even the adjuster knobs wont turn at all. Tomorrow, I am going to take a pair of pliers to those knobs- see if I can shift them with the pliers- if they break doesn't matter because they are 100% useless anyway.
The great thing about them is that they work for anyone. Have one or two of these in your house and whenever someone visits and forgot or lost their glasses you can lend them these.
Check out the Foster Grant MultiFocus. They’re about $40 at CVS or $30 on Amazon. They were way better than the progressives I got from Costco (which I ended up returning).
THESE THINGS ARE ABSOLUTE CRAP. DO NOT BUY THEM. I just got my pair. They are not even worth 25 cents. The maximum vision correction on them is so weak and ineffective they are useless. They are cheaply make plastic junk that fall apart, but mostly, they just do not work to correct any vision problem. They were not designed by any optomotrist. The way they are suppose to work, is there are two plastic slides with two lens on them, and when you twist in or out the screw mechanism, it's suppose to move one lens in relation to the other, and increase or decrease... I want to say "whatever". Magnification, probably, because it's not lens corrective power. Anyway, the screw is a poorly made piece of blow molded plastic... it twists and makes snapping noises and does not particularly operate any sliding mechanism at all. by that's beyond the point, because they quickly fall apart, and you don't need the screw anyway. Put the sliding lenses back in the sliding rails for the frame, and sliding them manually, you find out what they are suppose to do, and it's not much at all. Total crap!
Don’t Buy These So called “Glasses” it’s a Rip Off😡 I wouldn’t want them if I found them. $38.00 bucks I feel like a stupid fool. I paid them through pay pal. If I don’t get a refund back I’m letting pay pal handle it. Save your money they’re JUNK & CHEAP! The adjustment focus doesn’t work. I’m embarrassed…😡
They need to do a little more work on the design, but it’s a great concept. My issue is that if you drive, this may be a disaster in the making. They’ll be good for reading only since peripheral vision is VERY important while driving.
Many of us wear glasses that would have to have lenses over a half inch thick at their edges to have everything in a wide field of view in perfect focus. At one point I had glasses like that, but for several decades glasses have been prescribed for me that require me to turn my head rather than move my eyes. I am much more aware of my environment and have a faster reaction time than anyone I have ever met. Tests have shown that my peripheral vision (without turning my head) is way above average. Stuff just isn't in perfect focus. My field of vision is very near 180 degrees, well beyond the outer edges of any glasses. If a penny 40 feet away rolled into the area that I see to the side of my glasses, I would instantly know it even though eye charts would test my vision in that area as legally blind. Forget about perfect focus and turn your head.
allowing people to adjust their own glasses strength..... woowwwww we really are moving towards a reality like in Idiocracy. The thing about glasses people, if it's too strong for you, you end up making your visioin worse faster. Everyone going to be blind in 10 years
Ok. I've used a variety of these, literally for years. Great for watching television, great for finding my regular glasses ( when I set them down while preoccupied with other things) great for computer work as you adjust them for more comfort, less eye strain, than one's prescription glasses. HOWEVER, I strongly advise against trying to wash them. The pair that I tried to clean retained liquid between the sliding surfaces and I never had them right after that. Maybe you can figure out a way to do it successfully. Overall, I have a pair for t.v. and a spare in the drawer. As you say, they cannot correct to perfect 20/20, but close enough to use as back ups for reading and distance.
As there is no way to really get between the lenses, cleaning with a liquid could be problematic. I tend to just wipe the outer lenses off with a cloth.
Was considering these but having difficulty finding the real American made glasses instead of CHINESE knock offs.Think I'll just visit my optometrist 😊😅
Glasses that can be manually adjusted perfectly, but don't correct any corneal curvature. These glasses were developed by a completely incompetent optician who knows as much about product design as a louse knows about hygiene. You could also say that these glasses look utterly ridiculous.
I totally agree with you, I wasted my money, No way to get in contact with them to get a refund on this piece of garbage, I was really hopping this wasn't another scam, but I was wrong.
I have gotten response from them and multiple e-mails. They will not honor their money back guarantee. Please don't be fooled by this company or lookalikes. Will be reported.
Think I've been burnt $75 for 2 pair. Don't think I'll be using to drive thou. Okay for viewing videos only. Great idea needs more work ie wider adjusting in and out. Still see lot's of pull down blurring. Usually don't wear glasses at home or reading but will not let them go to waste to much 💸. Just phone to dark mode setting makes them better
@@NikhchansGaming There is a very expensive type of eyewear for people who are blind. The contraption looks like that blind guy wears on Star Trek. Unfortunately, once vision is lost completely from glaucoma it is not fixable.
@@DarleneYoungartist Yes I am aware of those. Its a camera which projects video to periphery of the vision. Yes I am aware of the Glaucoma's Irrevocability. My father does have severe glaucoma with a very high number. But he is taking some natural treatments and he felt he had made some improvement in his vision. He wanted to check if he had reduced his number.
Oh no, while driving you forgot to test by looking at your speedometer or digital air conditioning, heating temperature numbers or radio dial. These glasses could cause a wreck while driving!
I bought this product! The glasses came with the lenses scratched so that they could not be used, even if they worked, because they are visibly of poor quality. The adjustments do not work well, and the fact that they are two lenses prevents the vision from adjusting through them ... there is always the sensation of double vision, blurred, regardless of the adjustment that is applied (with a lot of effort and time, since nothing works well on this product). The product in general sucks: very weak plastics, imprecise and precarious adjustments, poor quality plastic lenses that are already useless and absolutely damaged in the packaging ... the only part that seems to have any quality is the packaging itself, which, obviously, it went to waste along with the whole set. Even guidance paper is of the lowest quality possible - even toilet paper is better than that!
Ebay has "Adjustable Glasses" for about $7 - $14. And make your own judgement. For alot less. Great concept. Just needs to be refined. Better stylish frame. And equal length optic lenses. Front and back. Like the first automobile. Innovation takes time. They laughed at the Wright Bros. Look at us now. I'll pick up a pair. Or two.
True. But I was concerned about using these glasses while driving because you can’t do both distance and close up (dashboard readings)in a split second.

These would make a good backup pair of glasses for when you lose or break your glasses. I'm going to get some.
They would be good for the studio! Protection and a closeup lense. Thank you for taking the time to do this test 👍😊
Good honest review, that actually can be comprehended.

good revew. thats what i wanted to know about how it looks from the sides.. i like your picture in the background of the forest and river.
Yeah, I thought that was a nice picture too.
So, note to Dial Vision, increase the FoV for your next iteration and you'll increase your sales considerably.
Good strategy...don't forget to pay the workers more too

Just seen one of those B roll ads for this pop up and seems like they used you in it!
I am encouraging the further technological development of these glsses. currently they dont work at all.
What is the price
How much are they going for
NO Peripheral vision? Just like America's Best glasses!
Those eyeoptic glasses need an antt glare coating. That would help cut out some of the plastic feel.
Well you didn't look bad 😊 I don't think those dial glasses would work for me😢

I think these would work good for emergency preparedness glasses as a last resort kinda deal.
The good news is that someone will improve on this idea and make them better and nicer looking.
Hopefully, they will improve the styles.

Hopefully the designers will improve future versions without raising the price significantly
So I lost over $500 on jacked up glasses and couldn’t get my money back from that terrible company.
the perfect glasses for when you're trying to find your glasses
These are total junk. Cheap plastic, feel like the free glasses you get at a 3D movies. Adjusters don’t work at all. Total, total waste of money. Don’t even consider them.
Haha!!!yes!!
He’s probably an optometrists or for an eyewear company lol
Hahaha! 🤓🤓🤓
Right idea, just awful “ghost” selling company...buy at your own risk!
Don't buy theses glasses they are rubbish.I would like to know how much they paid these reviewers
Somone needs to make a high quality strong pair of these. The idea is great.
Yes sir. Great Concept great idea HOPEFULLY someone like Mark Cuban invests into this and makes it a solid option for people
They have them but they are like 90 bucks they are called eyejusters
There was a company called Superfocus about 10 years ago. They didn't make it, went bankrupt, had a lot of funding. They were $600 and worked perfectly...I had a pair. They were very, very ugly.
Right idea, agree with you.
I don't think the testimonies are truthful. The ones I received are nothing more than total junk. Waisted my hard earned money!!!
Its funny they used you in their advertisement. It doesn't matter that you were a little critical, because they just muted you and all that was left was you wearing the glasses smiling. I wonder did they pay you something?
I also bought 'Dial Vision'. I bought two plus one(2+1). To begin with, I was swindled. The video is lying.
Four years ago I was at the eye doctor and was asked if I wanted to help with the development of a product. A kind Asian man who was working on making this type of glasses for children in need asked questions and ran tests while I wore them. Basically I was at the eye doctor for an extra hour but got paid $15 to do so.
7 years old video? Weird how I heard about these glasses just today. 😲
Some people don't have hundreds of dollars to buy eyeglasses. This is great in spite of their drawbacks.
ORDERED MINE 3 MONTHS AGO >>>>STILL WAITING PASS IT ON>
Cool idea and everything but could definitely use some serious upgrades such as maybe somehow making the entire lens adjustable and having different frame styles for sure.
Beware ...not what they show on TV.
Very poor quality frame n lens..
Look like toy stuff and Especially in India very bad Return Policy...
Not at all worth a penny..
Where dd u order from?
who do you return them to
I just saw an ad for these were they used a clip from this video. Did you give them permission?
Good review. Thank you. I don't know if I will be getting them or not. I spit coffee out when you said you were seeing triple street lights and they are pretty ugly.
Mine were all scratched on arrival, not recommended, stick to high street shops
wear them on halloween and scare folks.......
excellent as a back up. think outer limits, end of the world all the time to read and then you break your glasses. these are excellent, no optometrist needed! apocalypse goggles!
Much like the cabin windows on the Boeing 787.
excellent for scuba and sky diving use.
Terrible. I couldn't get them to work AT ALL ! I bought them based on this youtube review and I am thoroughly disappointed. Complete rubbish.
it's rubbish!
Why
You probably have an astigmatism and these glasses won't correct for that.
Thanks for your review fella. Its a fair balanced review, well presented. high fiving you brother.
Check out the Foster Grant MultiFocus. They’re about $40 at CVS or $30 on Amazon. They were way better than the progressives I got from Costco (which I ended up returning).
Thanks. Great honest review.
Total crap!
Don’t Buy These So called
“Glasses” it’s a Rip Off😡 I wouldn’t want them if I found them.
My new issue is super bright headlights at practically blind you. So I would not wear these at night.
There seems to be a wide variety of views on these, but mostly terrible, it has to be said.
As there is no way to really get between the lenses, cleaning with a liquid could be problematic. I tend to just wipe the outer lenses off with a cloth.
Yep. That's about as good as can be.
Are they adjustable enough to use as monovision (one eye for close, one for far away)?
Was considering these but having difficulty finding the real American made glasses instead of CHINESE knock offs.Think I'll just visit my optometrist 😊😅
Glasses that can be manually adjusted perfectly, but don't correct any corneal curvature. These glasses were developed by a completely incompetent optician who knows as much about product design as a louse knows about hygiene. You could also say that these glasses look utterly ridiculous.
Absolute garbage. They don't answer e-mails regarding return/refund. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau.
So ... I'm assuming they don't work? Do they help a little bit at least?
@@tonykari5124 Not even a little.
I like the idea of the glasses, but same, the service is poor
I totally agree with you, I wasted my money, No way to get in contact with them to get a refund on this piece of garbage, I was really hopping this wasn't another scam, but I was wrong.
I have gotten response from them and multiple e-mails. They will not honor their money back guarantee. Please don't be fooled by this company or lookalikes. Will be reported.
I wonder how the buildup of grit gets between the two lenses on each eye and how hard it is to clean that area.
Thank you for this video! These glasses are right now promoted on RUclips Germany quite cheap, but I won´t buy them.
Too much emphasis on the look. Screw the look I can't see!!
ahahahahahahahhaahahaha i am dead bro my dad said the same thing
How are you living through life?
@@YoungBlaze Quite fine. I can see just fine. I a looking for my father, who has glaucoma. Thanks for asking.
Although the product is poor quality you still put in the time to give a relatively thorough review. Thanks.
I heard this was a scam company selling the scam glasswear!
I had the same problem. Just another cheap product. A waste of money
good to see you loved your new glasses..
