Damn you keep checking out their radio rock tunes but I know what you mean. Tower Of Pain has a bit of the "taka taka" you love and is the song that sold me on these guys. Should check it out on your own time.
This is why I only do a band once if it doesnt super grab me. An endless "YOU CHECKED THE WRONG SONG" in the comments. They chose this song for a video. They believed it represented their sound enough to invest the time and money to market it. They just arent for me

@@galacticriminalx we know what you mean, and it's perfectly fine, you don't have to like every band that is recommended to you on the comments; but just imagine that the very first song that you hear from Crystal Lake woud had been "Watch Me Burn" because that's the one they choose to make video of. They choose that song because they feel that's the song that represents them, but if you listen to their other tracks, that's not really the case, they have A LOT more to offer but for some reason they choose that over "Disobey", which is a better track. Still we love you man, and if FFK is a no go for you, that's totally fine.

@@galacticriminalx I don't think you should be so quick to judge a band based on what songs they have videos for, because, a lot of times, they have no control over that decision. A lot of times, it's the label chooses the song to be their single, not the band themselves, and the label makes them do a video for it to promote it. Tower of Pain is significantly better, and the breakdown at the end is just NASTY.
If you want a more modern one to check out that's better than the last one you did, though, their other newest track, "Backbreaker" (feat. Dave Stephens of We Came as Romans), is badass, too. FFK's lead singer holds a long ass fucking growl at the end that's INSANE!

And none of the other suggestions had videos...Fuck. This is why I dont try again when a band just doesnt hit right for me. The endless "YOU DIDNT HEAR THE RIGHT SONG" shtick. They believed in this song enough as a representation of their sound to invest time and money to market it. They arent for me. Simple as that.

Many bands tend to make music videos for their more mainstream songs. Just witnessed the exact same thing with Crystal Lake's "Watch Me Burn" and "Disobey". But it's obvious you already formed an opinion about this band and nothing I'll write will change that anyway. See you on the next one.
I personally love FFAK and i do think they have some heavier songs he might like but damn people leave the man be if he dont like them then he dont like them!!! God damn

My friend, you HAVE to check out tower of pain, it doesn't matter if it doesn't have a video. For some reason they tend to make videos to their more commercial radio friendly songs, while their best tracks are left just for the fans who listen to their full albums

You would love Backbreaker!!! Like a 30 second scream in it... and breaking the mirror is really good as well. Both are heavier then this song.

Came across a fairly new band called Earthshatter that i can't seem to get enough of. Kyle Anderson from Brand of Sacrifice is the vocalist and they're right up your alley. Check out their track Ghost Orchid or 1135. They melt my face every time haha.

Personally this one was never my favorite one. Check out Backbreaker and When Everything Means Nothing. These are two solid representations of their sound, at least to me (and they both have music videos)

Yeah, I'd have to agree that the song sounds like something I'd hear on my local rock station lol. I wasn't bothered by it, nor was it something I'd get on Spotify, and immediately save to my library. Now the last song you checked out by them, I just wasn't into at all. So I think it's safe to say, they aren't for me, but it doesn't mean they necessarily suck. Thanks for the entertaining videos. I can't remember if you have or not, but Unleash The Archers released two new songs recently, and you should definitely check them out. "Abyss", and "Soulbound" are the two new songs, with "Abyss" being my personal favorite of the two, and the better of the two songs. I usually feel the music videos lend to the more "radio friendly" songs... Same situation we just saw with Crystal lake.
But I agree not something we need to see reactions of, but Dark Skies is an amazing album start to finish.

I had a feeling you wouldn’t like the later part but not all their songs have cleans in them though. Shattered glass and back breaker don’t and they are killer songs. Tower of pain is good too because the song has cleans but doesn’t do that radio rocky chorus thing like they do in this song.
Might be time for you to check out Phinehas “Hell Below.” They are label mates with Fit For a King, but maybe a little more to your taste.

Galactic please, dont discard them, you are missing on some of the greatest and heaviest songs in metalcor genre, not all video songs can be bangers , but they have a veri high amount, just not these ones!

I mostly agree with this reaction. Fit for a King is one of those bands where I feel kinda conflicted, because I do like some of their tracks very much (my favorite would be Bitter end), but others (or part of others) just do not hit the mark, and thus disappoint a bit beacuse you just KNOW that they have the ability to satisfy you but just did not.
You should check out Nightcrawler by Signs of the Swarm.

Man do I wish he would do backbreaker. I think as a whole ffak just ain't CONSISTENTLY heavy enough for him. But backbreaker is arguably their most aggressive song. After that one he can call it quits on ffak (I appreciate most of their songs but that's cause I prefer metalcore overall, even though he kinda sold me on thy art is murder too, nowadays lol)

Completely agree with you on both of the last tracks buddy. God of Fire's breakdown was decent enough, but the song was incredibly repetitive. Also could have done without the extended into and outro with synths. This track was.... meh? More radio friendly, like you mentioned. Nothing wrong with it per se, but nothing I haven't heard a hundred times before.

Guys, it’s okay for people to have different opinions and music taste. Sure there have been multiple times that reactors have taken a band and/or song that I really like and have been indifferent about it.. and it may have been upsetting at first, but we have to remember that not every person has the same taste & that’s okay! He literally said that they’re not a bad band just not for him. You shouldn’t get defensive just because someone has a different taste than you do. If everyone had the same opinion on things shit would get pretty boring, because there would be no variety.
Sometimes you have to just agree to disagree on things and move on. It’s not wrong to have different opinions!

This album was kind of a meh from me, it has some real bangers but almost any other album before this is less radio friendly. A pretty old song from them is Slave to Nothing, it has a music video and the song is so fucking bouncy it’s awesome. I know you probably won’t do another reaction to them for a while, but I highly recommend Slave to Nothing.
