I've been going for about 10 years. It is a great event. Thanks for showing the CLC booth. I didn't get too much further stripping up the little canoe.
Sorry I missed you Nick. I had a hard time getting around once the event started. Thats why I showed up early on day three to film before the crowds. Your booth looked great!
@@HeadwatersKayak I get it. I was tied down to the booth most of the weekend. I got in a few quick walkabouts before the days began, but that makes it hard to catch everyone. Catch you at the next one.
Whoa, Nova Craft! They're here in London, ON - was just there a few days ago getting some paddling gear. John, the owner, still works the store all the time. Was Seaward Kayaks there? They seem to be winding down these days - owner is getting close to retirement, so not sure if they're still doing shows or not outside of Canada. Nice Delta Kayaks display - we have a Traverse 17.5 in that brilliant aqua blue you saw on some of their boats, great tandem kayak.
Yes. I ended up having a conversation with Dave Haddon but didn’t get it recorded. Basically they went through and stripped as much weight out of the canoe as possible lighting it up about 20%. It feels substantial when you’re picking it up solo.
All this expensive hi-tech stuff doesn't impress me. I've paddled all over in used $100. aluminum and polyethylene canoes including the entire Yukon and Mississippi rivers. I've also paddled all over in a used $500. polyethylene Necky Looksa 17' sea kayak including a Mackenzie R. drainage - Summit Lk, Crooked R., Williston Res.,Peace R., Slave R., Great Slave Lk., and finally, the Mackenzie R. Also the Missouri river, the lower Mississippi, and Gulf ICW to South Padre Is., two trips doing the Maine coast border to border, and two trips on the Inside Passage from Seattle to Skagway. In Georgia and Florida on the Etowah R. the Coosa R. the Alabama R. and Gulf ICW to Appalachicola. And the list goes on. You really don't need expensive gear to have fun on the water.
That’s an interesting take away from watching this video. If you’re familiar with this channel you know I’m all about getting on the water with what you can, and that the gear is way less important than the experience. I review sub $300 Kayaks, I buy quality Kayaks off of Facebook marketplace and show people how to fix them up, and I’m always preaching about enjoying the adventure that’s available to you.
Yes Sir! Running into you was one of our highlights for sure!!! Cant wait to get on a river together soon!!
WOW! Thanks for the tour Dan! 😃
Sorry I missed you dan. I just bought the new Stratos 14.5 red, Blue, Black can't wait to try it out.
Nice man. Love the Stratos. The new colors looked awesome.
Fun video. The variety and numbers there boggles my mind. 😊

Almost like being there.....well done..thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Super fun to see the show through your lens and time there!
Another GREAT video Dan! I'll admit I did some serious drooling watching this. Thanks for causing me to start my day with a big smile!
Thats how I felt the whole time. Love hanging out with that many paddle craft in one place!
Thanks for sharing this, it looks like it was an amazing event.
Fantastic reviews.
That looked fun. Worked a lot of trade shows in the garden industry and they had a similar feel. I’d enjoy a paddle show like that.
Great video and wow!! Welcome to WI. Have a good day and week. Wish we could have been there, maybe next year. Thank you for sharing
Great video!! can't wait to get on the water.
Those paddles and there innovations really great.
Thanks so much for the footage! Lots of exciting boats and gear!
Looks like a blast.
It was great meeting you. Thanks for helping me and my wife find the perfect kayak
It was so fun to work directly with customers again. Thats what I miss most about having my retail store.
Great video and overview of the show, I like that bending branches continues to innovate
They are on it these days. Really cool stuff coming out from them.
It was great meeting you in the Eddyline area. Bought the Caribbean 14. Can't wait to get it out on the water. This show is always amazing!!
Thanks! You too!
Now I've got the gimmes.

DANG! Wish I'd've been there.
Didn’t know you’d be there. I was there Saturday. Picked up my new Titan x 10.5.

Hopefully next year.
Were you able to talk with Esquif about T-Formex Light? (12:52)
Yes. I ended up having a conversation with Dave Haddon but didn’t get it recorded. Basically they went through and stripped as much weight out of the canoe as possible lighting it up about 20%. It feels substantial when you’re picking it up solo.
Thanks for the info! I’ll be keeping an eye out for one.
Awesome
Am I going to see Wenonah there? Idk but I love my Spirit 2! Can't wait for warm waters to go paddling!!
