Your videos are the most accurate interpretation of the songs I've found so far. Most of the tab out there is very rudimentary and stiff but you show us how the original players are doing it and that is very, very much appreciated! Thanks for lessons that include the real feel of the songs \m/

Pick and Fingers produce a noticeably different sound. It also depends on the bass. I own a Tobias Bass and it sounds like shit with a pick, so I just use my fingers.
The bass intro starts. Young folk - Ice Ice Baby. Older folk - Under Pressure. Young folk- What do you mean Under Pressure that is Ice Ice Baby from Vanille Ice. Older folk - Nah he stole it just listen. Young folk - WTF it is the same.
Ice Ice Baby’s bass line is a 2 bar phrase with the first bar having an extra D on the and of 4. Under Pressure’s bass line is a one bar phrase that is just 1&2&a3&. Both songs are in the same key and only 1bpm off in tempo. This is why Vanilla Ice got sued. Using existing music for inspiration is okay but you’ve got to change it enough to make it your own.

I love using both, but it usually depends on song or band. If it's Iron maiden its usually gonna be fingers, but Megadeth i think is always pick.
