Just starting out myself, and I must say you are a inspiration!
I know a craft and go case would make my life of face painting so much easier but I cannot afford one. Sooo I use a camp kitchen. It’s not going to last but it works for now. I’m going to save for a case soon. Love that you called yours Penelope!
Everything you have done I’m definitely going to incorporate into my kit now. The clips are a awesome idea!!
Thankyou for taking the time to show us your set up. It’s awesome! 💖👏👏
Thanks so much for the kind words. Happy to help! 😊
Do u know if Amazon sells these craft and go cases , I can’t seem to find them?
Look up hairdressing towels and you will find packs of the towels you are looking for! :) they are slightly bigger than hand towels, soft enough but not super fluffy, it's what we use for hair! Hope that helps!
@@RebekaFlor thanks so much!
This is such a helpful video, I own a party princess company and I’m just starting face painting for events so this video was super helpful to see the setup thanks for sharing
Love your plastic chain! So smart. I need one of those.
Thank you for sharing. I've been facepainting for about a year now and am constantly trying to figure out how to set up and look professional. This was really helpful and now I've subscribed to your channel!
Thank you so much for the vote of confidence! It took me forever to decide how I needed it. Happy painting!

that's so cool that youre contracted by the park! who did you reach out to for that? I am just starting but would love to do this as much as possible
Hi Sara! Thanks for the interest, they contacted me actually. But I do have a video on my channel called business tips that explains how to get into a park. 🥳
@@artbylily you're awesome, thanks for the quick response!
Love this. I’m such a scatter brain. Also need that JBL strap.
Great info. I use baby bath too. Wash my brushes and sponges with it. No worries about soap residue causing tears.
Thanks for sharing!!

I ordered her from the craft-n-go website. Thank you.
I love your set up! I can’t wait to get started. Do you have a video about how you get contracts to paint in parks?
I don’t have a video, but I can definitely make one! ☺️
Please do! & one about your sign please & thank you 🤗💕
Can you make a video showing us the best brushes to start with ? I dont know which ones to get 😅
Apologies on the late response, and yes I will definitely make a video on brushes. Thanks for the input!
Wow! In all countries we have same problems with parents? :( Good job! I love your work! :)
Thanks for sharing! What's your favorite line white and black in humidity? I'm looking at the Mehron Edge white right now...
Thanks for the comment, yes absolutely Mehron edge for linework in humidity is the way to go! It doesn’t get goopy.
thanks for the video! btw, really tidy =) can I ask how many sponges would you recommend to take for a 2 days festival? thanks
Hi 👋 thanks for your question. That depends on how big or small your sponges are and your speed. I normally take sponges enough for 150 faces.
Where did you find Penelope?
Hi, I ordered it on the craft-n-go website.
Thank you for this video! I have been playing around with face paint for almost three years now, and I think I am ready to take it to the next level. I have a question. I know some artists have done water proof paint. You mentioned that it rained. What do you do to prevent your work from wiping away with sweat/water/moisture? I really appreciate you! Liked and subscribed!!
Thank you Tiffany, I apologize on the late response. Typically ppl still want the face painting even though it rains or it’s hot out. I do have pro air brand water resistant makeup on hand if the client requests it.
I'm new in this but recomend to put some handpainting options on your board.
I had a event last weekend and it was soo hot. At the event there was another facepainter who did only facepaintings and do be truthful. I had 30-40 kids in line and she had only few (those who wouldn't wait in my line bc it was long).
I tell the parents and kids to prefer handpainting or something little to the face, because they run/sweat and big picture just melts away.
Handpaintings are also good option for those who don't want something on their face but still wanna do something.
@kairitjoepera4482 thank you so much! I never even thought about suggesting hand or maybe even arm designs, since you won't sweat there as much lol I really appreciate your advise! 🫶🏼
@@artbylily that's OK! Thank you for your reply, I appreciate you!
Where can we get the boards?
Sorry do you mean the menu boards? Those are yard sign corrugated boards, they’re plastic and mine are around 16x20.
What are you using to hang up your banner?
Hi Lisa, they are the bungee cords listed in the description. They can also be found in a clear plastic jar at Walmart. ☺️
@@artbylily thank you so much. Are they the 12 “?
@@lisakmak6019 the banner with face painting on it, I used hyper tough 10 pack canopy tie bungee from Walmart. The menus I used 12 inch silicone cable tie from Walmart.
