Paper planes fly far when properly folded and thrown • my advice:
Folding:
• Pause the video after each step.
• Too hard? Start with Level 1: / mahircave
Launch:
• Hold the front slightly higher than the back.
• Throw with half of your strength.

Can't believe it! My Dad was folding paper planes exactly like this in the 1960's. He showed me and I showed my Kids and now they are doing it for their kids. Thanks for bringing back happy memories.

My brother showed me how to make 1 very similar back in 1980. And im now showing my son. Just the tail was different, no 'wings' on it but an inch segment just short of the end was folded up inside the tail which helped keep the air flow central.
My Dad also showed me this in the 80's, different tail & more bird like.
Now I'm sat here in 2022 showing my son 😁

It was kinda Hard at the first time but after a few tries it feels easy and i respect your efforts to make a good video
I remember making this plane like 15 years ago and I just got the urge to make it again and im just really happy I was able to find a video to help. About halfway through it started to come back to me and it was awesome

I LOVED this tutorial. I really like how you start with 2 short clips of proof, then just jump straight into it. No bull crap talking or anything, just clear visual instructions on what to do. I made it and it flies so great, I threw it into a lake.

Wow that's how I was taught to make an airplane from my dad, but never used the end to make a tail. Also, instead of folding the tips, you can try curling the wings and it would allow the plane to turn and dip more.

Improvement: put the tail in before you fold the tip over, that way it is more secure into the actual "wing part", which will protect it when it hits the ground

This was the first paper plane my intelligent grandfather taught me. Amazing how a design like this is still alive.

This is amazing. You did incredible accurate.
What surprised me is that this folding plane is exactly what one of my dad's colleagues taught me in 1970's back in China. It was almost identical to this one except the main wings were cured up instead of hard bent up like yours. Really wonder who originally invented this complicated paper plane. Because they were just a bunch of farming machine engineers in China, no connections with outer world in those days. Thank you for sharing this.

Well done! as far as i remember, this is one of the world's record longest flyer paper airplane design back like 20 years ago. it was what i've only known as a paper plane back then. Elegantly done. Congrats

Reminds of my friend Robert Rahey (Bobber) who taught me several paper designs. One day I folded about 15 out of catalog paper and flew them off the Washington bridge over the mississippi.(U of M) I flew into the wind for lift only one was adjusted just right as it would dip and lift over and over. Longest flight I ever saw or had. Early 1980's I took 15 as I knew I would never get one back to readjust it for another flight.
I had to rewatch the video just to count all the planes I heard
