Honestly the progression of "low effort" work in each song as he become more dead inside/done with it is great, and makes me wonder how the next one or two will look like.

I love the combination of how clearly done Jon is with this fandom (can't blame you) shown in the video, but how damn good the covers still are. Goes to show that even if you don't like it, if you're gonna do something, might as well do it right. Very cool
Thats why I don't ever consider myself part of any fandom. I love JoJo, but I'm not going to pester someone over it. Some people take it too far and it makes the rest of the fans look bad.

Yeah, It's kinda sad because I think he genuinely liked Jojo at first because the first couple are some of his better songs, but as the show dragged on and every season added 2 or more themes to cover, and the fandom became more demanding and toxic, plus his general disdain towards cover songs (which he was covering up at the time) I think he probably fucking hates Jojo now. Again, a real shame because the DIU openings he covered are legit some of his best songs period. His "Great Days" cover is probably the only english version of the song I can listen too and it's definitely one of Jon's absolute best. But even in that song, the whole, I'm just reading the lyrics off an Iphone thing screams he was already fucking done as was. I still don't buy that he always hated doing covers and only did it for easy clicks especially given how amazing some of the earlier ones are (this is definitely not the Jonathan Young that got the original vocalist of the Pokemon Theme to collab with him), but he definitely does now.
