I know it's tough to go back and listen to old stuff, but MF DOOM not being with us anymore, definitely deserves your deep dive man. It may or may not be for you but if it is, you'll be in for a treat man. I was truly saddened when I heard of his passing. I'm 33 but when I was 16 I was introduced to MF DOOM and have been a huge fan since. He help me see all the different avenues in hip-hop. I'm from California so I grew up on that west coast sound, but man I loved New York/East coast hip-hop. its such a smooth vibe.

By far, the strongest supporting evidence of the "Black Thought is the GOAT" claim is his legendary Funk Flex Hot 97 freestyle. Almost uncontestedly the greatest radio freestyle of all time, it is dense, literary, allusion-heavy, and flawlessly, thrillingly delivered. To truly understand why people clamour in support of Black Thought and his excellence, drop everything and watch that on RUclips, if you haven't already. His mastery of the rap fundamentals, which he demonstrates over those 10 minutes, cannot be overstated. Seriously

DOOM is a rabbit hole that could be fun diving down at a slow pace, just because there's so much. He's a big piece of underground hip hop history and almost all of his albums are growers.

there are plenty of great posse cuts! my favorites are Really Doe by Danny Brown (feat. Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, and Earl Sweatshirt) and 1Train by A$AP Rocky (feat. Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, and Big K.R.I.T.)

The Beethoven Sample is Impossible by Wu-Tang Clan. So the award goes to RZA

Been waiting for this review! Masterful album, it feels like a continuation to the BlacRoc album from years ago but with black thought and Danger giving a masterclass on the art that is known hip hop. Thank you 🙏🏾

DOOM and Danger Mouse have an entire Adult Swim album which is why those references you spoke about are on that song. It's not (just) because he's "getting high". Also I totally disagree with your Raekwon comment and it's borderline offensive but I don't think that was your intention so I'll get over it.

The first 4 minutes of this video is the biggest roller coaster of emotion I've ever had on a Prof Skye video.

This album shook my current AOTY list. It's currently number 2 but may slip to 3 not sure. I really enjoy the production. Dangermouse did great with catering to the artist. Especially the one with Conway. Black thought delivers as well, but the features shine. The DOOM feat. Gave me chills.

This album is great. Black Thought is The GOAT in rapping. For another masterpiece in rapping check out The Sharecroppers daughter album by The Goddess MC Sa-Roc. She is something special and it has a display of rapping at its finest with a feature from Black Thought.

I rarely agree with anything you say but both our roads lead to loving this album and I find that entertaining and fascinating. I think I made almost the same comment on another one of your reaction videos.

As for some of the best posse cut tracks I'll go with ATCQ "Scenerio" off the The Low End Theory album. Juice Crew "The Symphony", Native Tongues "Buddy".

Danger Mouse and DOOM have worked together before on an album called The Mouse and the Mask. This was made in collaboration with Adult Swim, with many lyrics referencing popular shows, hence the references on the DOOM verse here.
