    In this video I explain what I do to protect My Mustang in the winter months. I don't store the car away, I can't ! I love it too much and need it with me. the winter in Canada are long cold and snowy, But I have become used to it and can easily drive the stand on the snow and icy conditions.

    You’re absolutely right. Making a car sit is the worst thing you can do to it.

      hi Tony, yes my experience with storing cars has always been a bad one. After 2 to 3 years the cars would give me all kinds of problems. Plus what’s the point if I don’t drive it for months at a time? That would really really suck. Thanks for stopping by Tony, I appreciate it.

    Great video. I just got rid of my beater and now my Mustang will be my daily driver. I never considered rust proofing but now you have me thinking about that. Sounds like a great idea to combat the road salts. For those that don't want to get ceramic coating, which is great to have, you can also get the same protection using a quality sealant and would also cost a lot less. Ceramic coatings aren't expensive to purchase but to apply them, it requires more skill than a sealant, so it would probably have to be professionally applied which can get pricey. Anybody can apply a sealant. They aren't as durable as a ceramic coating, so let's say a coating might need to be applied once a year, while a sealant probably would need around three applications per year. A full paint polish is recommended before applying the coating. Those floor mats you have are nice.

    Glad to hear you enjoying your car in the snow, slush and salt. I've done it and it's alot of fun.
    Some of us store to preserve the car. Never winter driven cars will always be nicer than a winter driven car. Especially underneath.

      I agree with you. Usually a car that's only driven half a year will always look better. But its riskier for all the mechanical parts. I would rather enjoy it till I don't want it anymore. I don't like keeping cars for more than 5 years anyway. And from experience, I used to store my sports car and hated waiting to drive it a again + had always mechanical problems. I remember those experiences being a real pain.
      Thank you so much for stopping by and your comment. I appreciate it.

    Good on you for driving yours, convertible to boot. Krown is good stuff, 100% you need that for any car in GTA! But you missed the whole point of driving the mustang in the winter....parking lot doughnuts! But its best to stay out of the other mustang fails videos that so many end up in :) Solid video.

      For sure, the driving style needs to change in bad weather. some people don't get it. the convertible does surprisingly well in cold weather. the car stays warm inside; they did a real good job on the roof it seals really well.

      @gta-gt7117  3 года назад

      Hey, actually I bought it on Amazon and applied it myself. The car was new and didn't require much prep. Its easy to apply the hard part is the prep. But if your GT is new your good to go.

      You should get ceramic coated for sure, I wouldn't trust waxing alone. Yes you should bring it in somewhere where they know what they are doing. It should cost about $500 for a professional job but worth every penny. Shammy's is a great place for that they are in Pickering. All the best, hopefully I'll see you around

    Excellent video, I really enjoyed your insight on driving in winter. As Canadian's we really can't get away from winter driving if you own a car. But that being said, I would not drive my mustang in the winter period. Especially when it's a mustang you would like to keep for as long as you can. Even if it has issues due to being stored, what car doesn't ever have issues stored or driven. At some point we have to dip into our wallet to fix and maintain our rides. Sadly, driving in winter can cause a lot more issue in my opinion than storing the mustang, as long as you have prepped your storage correctly. Either way, we all love our mustangs and do what you want and the hell with what anyone says.
    I have a 2017 Mustang GT with the performance package.......... and she's having a long winters nap.... Cheers

      thank you mikekitsune, I appreciate you stopping by. I enjoy driving it too much to not drive it for 4-6 months. I also own a BMW X4, if the snow storm is really bad then I'll take that. I'm not collecting this car I'm just enjoying it for 3 to 5 years tops and then I would like to upgrade to a new one. I generally don't keep any vehicles for more then 5 years. I believe in enjoying it and getting the most out it, I am making payments after all. Again thank you so much for watching and for the great comment!
