May they ride forever...natives and their native horses are true horsemanship the way it was meant to be.
CELBRATING INDIGENOUS COUNTRY!
A'ho!
Native tribes should have their own horse show of experienced riders in a parades. I’ve seen native ropers, tiny toddlers riding with no saddles or assistance from their parents. I like to see what my father saw when he saw Navajo women riding their horses doing tricks and full speed then jumping off. “Effortless, never seen women or any humans ride better than men. They don’t use saddles or reins. Im a rancher, experienced in livestock and never seen that before & I haven’t seen it again. Navajo tribe have female ropers & riders in the rodeos which is something that I thought I would never see in my lifetime”
A little know fact, they are a horse tribe, the horses have their own songs and ceremonies. Beautiful stories of the body of the horse and what they are made of.. one of the 1st tribes to aquire horses.
I LOVE that Medicine Hat. Looks just like the one I used to have! Horses need to stay important, not sent for slaughter, but treated as equal partners. Especially since they served humans and are the reason we are all where we are today. They are not just working for qnd beside us, but are our treasured companions!
I love seeing people ride bare back again.
What a beautiful celebration of treasured traditions ❣️🤩
Fantastic costumes, what workmanship.
The Palamino at about 6:03 was especially pretty. Thank you for sharing.
Pray every day for the wisdom to come back.thank you for everything
I would be interested to learn the history of the saddles the bead work looks amazing excellent exhibition of horsemanship
Every Native American tribe is different in regard to bead work.
I so respect the way Americans natives treated the land, and recognized our spirit!!! They are more authentic to who and what we really are as humanity!
WOOOW THE HIRSES IS FANTASTIC...WE BACK IN THE TIME..THANK YOU❤🇮🇹
beautifull outfits , lovely horses ,
One year our stable went in a Xmas parade. We were all in our teens and rode bareback. We all wore shorts , some wore tights, but all rode bareback. And we won 1st place. Just dressed as simple elves.
Beautiful horses!!!
Beautiful horses
Kwey Kwey fellow first nations
What? Leading horses!
Safety First! Possibly those horses or riders are parade rookies! ❤
A'ho ❤
Love that lady on the white horse, sidepassing down the street!
Absolutely love this! The horses are gorgeous with their regalia along with the riders. Where did this take place? Was the Cherokee Nation invited or was this just Plains Nation?
I love the native american culture, I think we should know more of them as a Mexican all of latinamerica has a rich pre-hispanic culture and we are in touch with it daily, but to see north american natives is kind of rare and I'm sure we share a lot of things as native americans.
❤ very beautiful job
Soomuch WELCOME 😊
Enjoyed everything but the bells on the one horse. Not necessarily !!! Horse didn't enjoy it either!!!
Get those bells off that horses hooves !!!! 🤦♀️😥
As Dougie Hall says, “If you don’t like it, don’t worry about it.”
Beautiful ❤
Beautiful horses!! Would love to know where the parade was held?
Thank Heaven this crowd KNOWS horses and that flapping, screaming audiences spook horses. And that white horse with the bells? Nice concept but the horse HATES the bells on the ankles! Maybe even another rider. Beautiful horse, though.
Agree definitely find a new rider...poor horse
With all due respect, horses can be trained not to respond to the yelling and flapping. What do you think armies did with war horses? And the natives were no different once they traded bow and arrows for rifles. A horse needs to be trained not to freak out when the brave is galloping into a battle shooting a rifle at the other guys. And yes I am a horse person.
bells are awesome!
Thank you. ❤❤❤❤❤😊👍🫶
😊breathtaking❤😅
I absolutely love seeing this 😍
А нынешние дети прерий помнят хоть что нибудь о Гайовате?! Очень красиво !!
It would have been a lot more authentic if instead of ugly buildings as the backdrop a more natural setting would be used. I realize that this parade is to show the bond that Indigenous people have with the Horse Nation is a sacred bond that goes back since time immmorial is important and a natural setting an almost impossible task given where the pow wow is held. The parade at Crow Fair in Montana is a great example of a true horse parade which is held among the 1000 plus tipis which are set up along the Little Big Horn river on the Crow Reservation.
Yes, that would have been great. This parade was held during a Pow Wow at the Expo New Mexico grounds.
Think it's long overdue that there land was given back to them
It's been 532 years overdue and unfortunately nothing has changed yet in a major way.
Anyone where was this please
The woman who had the white horse can ride
Where was this?
They have very nice horses. The only thing the native Americans do here in upstate New York is run casinos.
Nice to look at the horse parade!🎉🎉🎉👍👏👏👏👏👏
Auka auka jiku kumeay saludos desde san José de la zorra mexicana
Sorry sight when most can't keep their horses in check

Where did this take place? I’d have loved to have been there. Blessings to Native Americans everywhere.
