  • INTHIS EPISODE: SCOOBY-DOO is everyone’s favorite character, a scaredy cat who eats his way to solving crimes with his friend Shaggy. Scooby-Doo designs were created by one of the great animation artists, Iwao Takamoto at Hanna-Barbera way back in 1969. The character has been in production as a series or movie almost every year since then, and shows no signs of wearing out his welcome. There will always be a Scooby-Doo it seems.
A few weeks ago, I was interviewed on The Scooby Addicts RUclips Channel, by Nikki Blake and Wendy Brydge. Here is the link to their channel:

Check out their channel, for everything Scooby-Doo, from the various series and movies to the Scooby merchandise available these days. They also interviewed my buddy Scott Jeralds, one of the great Scooby Doo producer-directors in the business. A big thank you to The Scooby Addicts Channel with Nikki and Wendy for a great time interviewing me with their insightful questions about Scooby-Doo and the animation field.
In the meantime, keep drawing, and keep having fun….

Hi, Swinton! Thank you so much for the shout-out today. Nikki and I were so happy to have you come and chat with us; you were full of interesting and helpful information and tips, and terrific stories too. We look forward to having you back again! This is an adorable Scooby, and I very much enjoyed watching him come to life this morning after having a horrible 2 weeks here. ♥ And ah, the curse (or blessing?) of the artist: Keeping art supplies for decades because you're saving them for something special -- and then one day you realize you just need to use them because everything you do is special if you love it! 😊

Such a great Scooby drawing demonstration. It was so much fun to watch you draw him. There is something very satisfying about watching a character come to life on paper. Thank you so so much for the shout out. Wendy and I very much enjoyed talking to you and we appreciate your time. I’m sorry it took me so long to watch this. I was on vacation and then I had to catch up from being on vacation. Thank you for the work you put into this channel to help us all understand more about animation. I’m excited that you are almost at 1,000 subscribers. 😊
