This house was sort of inspired by the home of Canadian actor/writer/comedian Katherine Ryan as seen on episode 6 of Backstage with Katherine Ryan on Amazon. The layout and colour scheme really impressed me so I had a go at it here! Wow! As always, fantastic design. Great ideas that were executed well. I love the fact that any of the two rooms upstairs can be the master bedroom. Please, can you do the house named 'THE BIG HOUSE' next? I think it's quite challenging and you might love it because of that.
Thanks Benjamin!! Wow yes, The Big House 🤔 the layout is bizarre 😅 but I have bought it, cleaned it and demolished everything in preparation and am now waiting for inspiration to strike! I have two other houses in the queue are the moment but watch this space...
They're the 'sandra 50x200' windows from the base game with the details filled in ☺ I think the fact that I've put 5 or 6 next to each other here is what's caused your confusion - for some reason most of the windows wouldn't work for me in this house so I really struggled to find ones that did. It might have been fixed in a subsequent patch though 🤔
One other question actually, I noticed with those glass walls that some are see though while others are glossed over, Is it a mod you are using that you can see perfectly though the glass walls and windows. I play on xbox so that may explain it. Any thoughts? @@ataraxisbuildsthings429
Love this reno...I was just wondering how you managed to replace all the pillars...i tried to do that but it wouldn't let me put the replacement pillars back up, on both balconys.
Yes it's very annoying and hit and miss in terms of whether you can replace with the same pillar or even if it will consistently allow you to place one on a paving slab or not! So the pillars I use here were not the same as the ones the house came with as they refused to be placed and while I've got them standing on slabs out the front they would not place the same out the back! That's where the gravel and plants came in to shield the difference. Unhelpfully I also think this sort of thing varies from person to person somehow. In the Classic Mansion House I've watched tours where people have placed moldings at the top of walls, yet when I go to place them there in my Mansion they just disappear!!! 😮 I'm afraid the pillars here are just something you have to fiddle about with to see what works for you and your game.
@@ataraxisbuildsthings429 Yeah, I tried to place the ones from pets DLC coz I'm trying to give the mansion a countryesque vibe, can't have a country mansion without the pillars, i even removed the slabs at the bottom and tried to put pillars on the bare ground, but still no can do...🤨🤔🙄

I got the picture originally from Unsplash but I've just searched the file name there now and it's not coming up 🤔 I've done a general search for it on Google though and there are different versions that will hopefully work for you!
