I’m gutted that it looks incredibly likely that the battletome’s are barely expanding on the index rules. Most of my hopes for 4.0 were hinging on that (misguided) expectation. The fact that we are stuck with boring, generic, half baked, minimal rules/ options for an entire edition is a major let down for me and has killed my hype for 4.0
@@heiroftheredeemer2828 considering it’s 40k that doesn’t sound like a particularly high bar, though from what I’ve heard the 10’th ed codexes expanded significantly on the index rules?
It has annoyed me to no end to hear people complain about the drop system in 4th. I am a very casual player through and through, and have no care of priority choice in the first round. Yes, there's a good advantage, but its not worth ruining the fun thing to get less drops to me.
@@wtfserpico It's just that many players (especially competitive) will optimize fun out of games. I like the option to be optimized, but a game isn't gonna be won from a priority choice.
Sad: no Skaven review.
Glad: Skaven review in the future.

As always the tryhards make the most noise and so it looks like "everyone" has a problem with it.

@@heiroftheredeemer2828 I'm fully with you. I'll take fun over optimized every day of the week.
