I agree with you Gugu . I am 42 not married I vowed to myself I will never have kids out of wedlock. I had a perfect childhood, my parents loved each other so much and loved us so much . Till this day don’t regret what I chose for myself. If no marriage then no children.

I got back on the wagon, and I am waiting for marriage to have more kids because I’d love to have more. I’m just here to encourage someone who fell off the wagon like me. GOD FORGIVES AND GOD RESTORES. Don’t give up on the life you once imagined, even if you may have made some mistakes (and our kids are not the mistakes, our actions were the mistakes because it is God’s divine plan for us to have children in wedlock), God can turn any situation around if you recommit your life to Him and doing things HIS way♥️

People always tell me ukuthi "Those who say they don't want kids are the ones who'll have many kids" like they always criticize me not knowing that the reason behind me not wanting kids is because of the way my mom raised me and having to grow up with an absent and actually having to fear ukuthi what if I treat my kids the same way my mom treats me in future, what if the father of my kids decides to not be a part of my kids lives, some of my friends even cutted me off because of me not having kids like them😭❤️

I had the same idea as U on adulthood approach when I was growing. I got married to an unconditionally loving husband & we now have two wonderful boy kids together. We love travelling to other countries with the kids to create memories, I feel that family is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm not as well up as U are Gugu, but our little family is well cushioned & we are taking our steps to greater success. I believe that if U are a principled lady, then you will definitely aim your goals. I also look back to my sixteen self & all I do is smile & feel so proud of myself. you resemble a good ROLE MODEL for young women like myself. growing up without someone to look up to because the norm has always been IMBOKODO is a Single woman who struggles through raising kids. That is not all glam the way it is glorified. I was raised by a single parent and honestly i could attest how traumatic that was. I was a child born out of the wedlock and hardly ever felt welcomed into my paternal family to this day even decided to distance myself because it's emotionally painful. My mom is going through years of therapy because of the trauma of being a single young mom and we felt the heights of it because she would take it out on us. i dont want to subject my kids to that.
So, mna with my 1st I had told myself that I will never have a child without a permanent job. With my second, I told myself that I will be married when she is born. And it happened exactly that way! I have friends who are not interested in having kids, either. And it is okay. People need to be okay with people's decisions about their lives.
I relate with the baby topic. Recently people in my family actually compared me to my friend's who have children and no matter how much I put them in their place they don't stop. Not knowing what you're going through. You may be ready but circumstances arent allowing you. A child is no small matter. You can't say "O tla bona ko pele" not ka ngwana.
