Whenever I become a medicine cat and the den becomes overwhelmed, I use my medicine den rule. The rule states as followed: If you are not injured or in need of any help please wait outside the den if you need to talk with me, if you are injured and the den is overcrowded with other sick cats then please wait outside Aswell. (Hope this helps any medicine cats deal with overcrowded dens better) (and also make sure to post it in clan chat too) :)

I'm a wcue roleplayer from Russian, and don't really know the process of "becoming" the medicine cat on English servers (I'm planning to start playing on them for new experience) On russian servers the deputy just does a test /the test it a out-of-roleplay thing/ (How many questions is on deputy choice), sometimes they are like "what a medicine cat must do when a queen is giving birth?" "How to treat an infected wound" or something like that.. But how do you do it?
There are two ways One: ask the medicine cat if you can be there app (most of the time they will say yes) Two: If the medicine cat is gone then ask the leader if you can be med. Those are the only two ways I know
Remember, as a medicine cat You cant save a cat from dying. They usually just help with the pain or try to cure you, so you can die in peace. Remember for greencough and wounds, a mee cat has an opportunity to save your life.
I think it only applies to actively pregnant queens (which I don't think Ferncloud was at the time). Since they need to be able to feel if something is wrong while giving birth, can't really do that when you have pain meds in you!
i was a TC medic, this was sometime around a month ago, but an elderly tom was having a seizure (and as we know, you can cure seizures nor fully prevent them). this happening ended up bringing the tom’s life to an end. everyone in the camp was pissed at me. AND FOR WHY? I DID ALL I COULD?

Here are some of the tips I use! 1.chervil root can be used as an alternative to poppy. 2. Help cats give birth! (You will need a helper, soaked moss, a stick, and some chervil in extreme cases) 3. If you need to logout for whatever reason, don't just disapear! Roleplay your death. 4. Don't be afraid to ret ire! I 5. Your word is pretty much law, so don't be afraid to make an announcement to the clan! (With the leaders permission of coures!) 6. The most herbs grow in windclan. That's it!
I wish I knew 1 and 2 when I suddenly had to help a queen through labor XD -(I logged off immediately after that, I was just done with WCUE for the day because of that interaction)-

If you want you could take notes from the wiki to have on hand, but the writers in warrior cats go back and forth on the herbs uses (all of which are put on the wiki) Another thing to keep in mind about book herbs: they're heavily dependent on the clan territory your on. For example: riverclan territory doesn't have the right conditions for chervil to they use watermint for bellyaches instead

Ask patients who keep making there situation worse if they could make it more realistic or if they could just eother get better or die in the rp (if their intention is to eventually die or their illnesses)😂

I love rule 9! Most often these kinds of people are young, and just want to have fun playing a cool cat game. But a lot of exp players often seem to have a ‘higher than thou’ attitude and mock the player for not knowing anything about the game or setting, when it would be so much easier to just explain what they’re doing wrong and direct them to the Starpedia. If they choose to not follow your advice, just ignore them and let them learn themselves.

Thank you for the video! Medicine cats are my favourite, though I usually go with warrior. Lately I’ve found warrior a big, not as fun role with hunting, so I’ve been considering medicine cats or apprentices instead. This video helped me understand better, especially when people can get so strict on stuff now. All ready my understanding of herbs is pretty good but sometimes my mind blanks or I get overwhelmed, but I think that’s just a common thing that can happen to anyone.
What I do (I love being med) to help me remember what herbs to or where I can find them is id write down where you can find them and their uses on a paper or in notes. I also put non in game herbs to make it more realistic. I’ve now remembered all of them but sometimes it comes in handy
I already know how to be a betetr med cat but I still need some out of game herbs these are all mine: Thyme is used for alleviating shock or stress. Thyme is used in eaten or chewed up. Yarrow is used for ridding of poison (causes a cat to vomit) or to soothe cracked paw pads. it's used in chewed for Borage is used for fevers For queens or bellyaches. Chervil is used for queens when knitting bellyaches and infected wounds. Poppy is used for soothing pain and emotional impact, or to induce sleep. (don't use on queens) Dock leaves is used for treating nettle stings soothing sore paw pads and scratches Catmint is used for greencough or whitecough Moss is used for gathering water or as an alternate to cobwebs for controlling bleeding. Juniper berries is used for strength to soothe a cat alleviate belly aches or alleviate breathing problems. Cobwebs is used for controlling bleeding or binding bones. clotsfoot-treats kittens cough helps breathing helps with cracked or sore paws ragwort leaves helps aching joints if mixed with juniper berries can keep a cats strength up parsley Stops a queen from producing milk and cures bellyaches. tansy is used for early stages of white cough catmint if necessary bright eyes and gorse and helps with he coughing aswell catmint if the whitecough doesn't go away Hawkwed roots can be used as well. U can take a screenshot of this I hoped it helped u but please give me some out of game herbs too it would help me alot ty :)
I feel that people need to know lore before they are given positions of power within the clan. Whenever I'm leader I ask everyone if they know the lore and if they don't to read the lore section in the starpedia, I also point new players in this direction. I also recommend reading the first few books if they want to play wcue more. There are so many people who don't understand the lore when playing and its a little annoying sometimes. Also a new player wishing there a med should gather all the herbs to have them listed in starpedia for uses. Also new players should start as apprentices to learn more about the lore and skills with the warriors universe. To any wcue players who haven't read the books, go check them out at your library. This first one is Into the wild. The series can get confusing so also check the warriors wiki for timelines and stuff. This has been my rant. You can make a custom herb thats toxic to cats,or just a normal custom herb not poisonous to cats. First herb ima talk about is primrose. Primrose is poisonous to cats and dogs,the symptoms when a cat catches Primrose poisoning are:Mild to moderate gastrointestinal problems,vomiting,and diarrhea. What makes it scarier is that its in all camps,meaning it is really common. Dont be fooled by its nice orange smell,even though it smells good,it can make you sick or worse,kill you. Kits are vulnerable to infection,im pretty sure this part about the kits is self explanatory. You can use the blue and red flowers for primrose. Personally I’d call Primrose poison in warrior cats: Flowerdeath. Heres where they grow in:Twoleg place,Windclan,Thunderclan,Shadowclan,Riverclan,and The fourtress. It may make the med cats job harder,but more realistic. Its more deadly to elders,kits usually get it though. There is a 50% chance you will die from primrose poisoning. Or should I say:Flowerdeath. Making them more deadly then death berries,only 1 warrior cat has died from death berries shockingly. Making flowerdeath one of the most deadly diseases amongst cats. Before you say:”How is it more deadly then death berries?” Well if you dont eat the seed of death berries,you won’t die. Another herb at 10 likes. Making primrose likely called “Deathrose”.

1. Juniper can be found by the path in Thunderclan 2. Poppy can be found by Snakerocks or by the crossing from Thunderclan to Fourtrees 3. Borage can be found near Windclan camp or near the Twoleg fire in Thunderclan 4. Dock can be found near the barn in Windclan 5. Yarrow can be found in Snakerocks too and usually near tree stumps (one is near Windclan camp!) 6. Chervil can be found near Thunderclan camp and Windclan camp 7. Catmint is found near the Twoleg bridge in Riverclan or in the Kp (kittypet) garden 8. Thyme can be found near Riverclan camp (just run around it and wait for something to pop up) Those were just some herb locations (not sure if all of them are correct and sorry that I haven't listed any in Shadowclan, I barely ever play in Shadowclan.)

Yea- sadly in exp role plays they always ask “do you know out of game herbs?” Yes- we should know them- BUT I DONT REALLY THINK ITS NEEDED LOL. Like- I’ve had plenty of good role plays and I only know of one out of game herb.
I love roleplayong as a medicine cat but it's also really stressful. My favourite thing about the medicine cat role is teaching your apprentice and having them collect herbs for you ;3

hey valkyrie! i am a small wcue content creator who is currently filming as i type this. my channel is highly inspired by you, and i have learned all of my skills from your tutorials! tysm for helping me when i was new to the game and needed tips. now here i am with my own channel and i now have tons of exp.
You can also go to other territories to collect herbs, you can use sticks for kitting, I recommend after a battle checking on every cat like in the books, and also if you want, you can roleplay and “organize herbs” hope this helps!
I got all the herb written down, positive of having a school that had the entire series and the extra information books of warrior cats. So I know every herb and what it helps!!
Like in wars, med cats are useful. Here’s why: they can help warriors who get home in the battle after getting hurt, especially when the leader is low on lives

One time someone made me the medicine cat bc noone else wanted too and like a thousand people came over complaining that they hurt their paws and I was so scared and they told me to hurry up and I left because I didn't know what any of the herbs do
And for people who don’t play as medicine cat but play as wounded, please please please if a medicine cat properly heals you, just be healed in until needed again. If a medicine cat does what they’re supposed to and you keep insisting that nothing will work and you’ll die then literally what do you want us to do. It’s kinda annoying.

Another tip for where herbs are Thunder clan has thyme it is the only clan that has thyme now River clan has the most poppy and cat mint Wind clan has borage and juniper berries Shadow clan has dock leaves And yarrow is in all clans by dead tree stumps
a little tip that goes with the following roles: med cat and med app and lead: Remember, leaders don't give med apps their med name, the med takes their app to the moonstone, once they feel that the app is ready, and gives the app their new name. also, meds choose their apps and leads don't. the apps are usually chosen because their love of herbs, a dream, prophecy, or a vision from starclan, or herb skills.
Hell, Valkyrie! I wanted to ask one question, I'm not sure if this counts to the Leader role or Medicine Cat role. But anyways, here's my question: For example, a Medicine Cat has broke the code and had any romantic relationship/mate, they get caught and now the Leader has to decide the punishment for them. What would be the options? And will the punishment be more serious if the Medicine Cat has had kits with their mate? Hope you answer, I also love your videos! I find your voice very calming and nice to listen to :).
Well, I think that the main punishment would be that they had to discontinue their role as medicine cat, and become a warrior (take Leafpool as an example). However, if this leader is really stern, they could be exiled from their clan- but I think that’s overkill. If the medicine cat has kits with their mate, they would be required to look after their kits as a momentary Queen, but after that, they must become a warrior again. Breaking the warrior code can come in many forms as punishment, perhaps the medicine cat has to re-train as a warrior apprentice? I hope this helped

Perhaps if the medicine cat does not have a medicine apprentice, you can ask the medicine cat to get a med apprentice ASAP. Then give them like 3/4 moons to teach the apprentice all they know, and once the medicine apprentice becomes a full med, the medicine cat has to become a plain warrior or retire.

I cannot be any large roles such as leader, deputy, or medicine cat no matter how experience I have as I have bad anxiety :’) but I do like role playing every once and a while, usually as an apprentice or warrior. I would LOVE to see mediators added into the game though, mediator apprentice is the role for me
The fact i am usually a warrior and the other times i am dep,lead or med (more likely med) i feel my social anxiety kick in when i see a bunch of people
Once the leader was in the med den and literally everyone was in there except for the deputy because they had to watch the clan, everyone kept talking to the leader and I had to say “cover your ears” and then I had to yell for everyone to get out if they weren’t hurt and literally nobody left I had to make the leader say it 😭

Medicine cats are my favourite, though I usually go with warrior. Lately I’ve found warrior a big, not as fun role with hunting, so I’ve been considering medicine cats or apprentices instead. This video helped me understand better, especially when people can get so strict on stuff now.
All ready my understanding of herbs is pretty good but sometimes my mind blanks or I get overwhelmed, but I think that’s just a common thing that can happen to anyone.
What I do (I love being med) to help me remember what herbs to or where I can find them is id write down where you can find them and their uses on a paper or in notes. I also put non in game herbs to make it more realistic. I’ve now remembered all of them but sometimes it comes in handy
For me, this is the best role: you don't have as much pressure on you as the leader or deputy, but everyone is counting on you (:
I once roleplayed a medicine cat, a apprentice came up to me and said "hollyleaf is already medicine cat,you can't be one!" I was confused
When ever I don't know how to rp with a sertain role I always go to you cause you make it so easy to understand!
I already know how to be a betetr med cat but I still need some out of game herbs these are all mine:
Thyme is used for alleviating shock or stress. Thyme is used in eaten or chewed up.
Yarrow is used for ridding of poison (causes a cat to vomit) or to soothe cracked paw pads. it's used in chewed for
Borage is used for fevers For queens or bellyaches.
Chervil is used for queens when knitting bellyaches and infected wounds.
Poppy is used for soothing pain and emotional impact, or to induce sleep. (don't use on queens)
Dock leaves is used for treating nettle stings soothing sore paw pads and scratches
Catmint is used for greencough or whitecough
Moss is used for gathering water or as an alternate to cobwebs for controlling bleeding.
Juniper berries is used for strength to soothe a cat alleviate belly aches or alleviate breathing problems.
Cobwebs is used for controlling bleeding or binding bones.
clotsfoot-treats kittens cough helps breathing helps with cracked or sore paws
ragwort leaves helps aching joints if mixed with juniper berries can keep a cats strength up
parsley Stops a queen from producing milk and cures bellyaches.
tansy is used for early stages of white cough catmint if necessary
bright eyes and gorse and helps with he coughing aswell catmint if the whitecough doesn't go away
Hawkwed roots can be used as well.

I feel that people need to know lore before they are given positions of power within the clan. Whenever I'm leader I ask everyone if they know the lore and if they don't to read the lore section in the starpedia, I also point new players in this direction. I also recommend reading the first few books if they want to play wcue more. There are so many people who don't understand the lore when playing and its a little annoying sometimes. Also a new player wishing there a med should gather all the herbs to have them listed in starpedia for uses. Also new players should start as apprentices to learn more about the lore and skills with the warriors universe. To any wcue players who haven't read the books, go check them out at your library. This first one is Into the wild. The series can get confusing so also check the warriors wiki for timelines and stuff. This has been my rant. You can make a custom herb thats toxic to cats,or just a normal custom herb not poisonous to cats.
First herb ima talk about is primrose.
Primrose is poisonous to cats and dogs,the symptoms when a cat catches Primrose poisoning are:Mild to moderate gastrointestinal problems,vomiting,and diarrhea. What makes it scarier is that its in all camps,meaning it is really common. Dont be fooled by its nice orange smell,even though it smells good,it can make you sick or worse,kill you. Kits are vulnerable to infection,im pretty sure this part about the kits is self explanatory. You can use the blue and red flowers for primrose. Personally I’d call Primrose poison in warrior cats: Flowerdeath. Heres where they grow in:Twoleg place,Windclan,Thunderclan,Shadowclan,Riverclan,and The fourtress. It may make the med cats job harder,but more realistic. Its more deadly to elders,kits usually get it though. There is a 50% chance you will die from primrose poisoning. Or should I say:Flowerdeath. Making them more deadly then death berries,only 1 warrior cat has died from death berries shockingly. Making flowerdeath one of the most deadly diseases amongst cats. Before you say:”How is it more deadly then death berries?” Well if you dont eat the seed of death berries,you won’t die. Another herb at 10 likes. Making primrose likely called “Deathrose”.

1. Juniper can be found by the path in Thunderclan 2. Poppy can be found by Snakerocks or by the crossing from Thunderclan to Fourtrees 3. Borage can be found near Windclan camp or near the Twoleg fire in Thunderclan 4. Dock can be found near the barn in Windclan 5. Yarrow can be found in Snakerocks too and usually near tree stumps (one is near Windclan camp!) 6. Chervil can be found near Thunderclan camp and Windclan camp 7. Catmint is found near the Twoleg bridge in Riverclan or in the Kp (kittypet) garden 8. Thyme can be found near Riverclan camp (just run around it and wait for something to pop up)
Those were just some herb locations (not sure if all of them are correct and sorry that I haven't listed any in Shadowclan, I barely ever play in Shadowclan.)

Yea- sadly in exp role plays they always ask “do you know out of game herbs?” Yes- we should know them- BUT I DONT REALLY THINK ITS NEEDED LOL. Like- I’ve had plenty of good role plays and I only know of one out of game herb.

hey valkyrie! i am a small wcue content creator who is currently filming as i type this. my channel is highly inspired by you, and i have learned all of my skills from your tutorials! tysm for helping me when i was new to the game and needed tips. now here i am with my own channel and i now have tons of exp.

You can also go to other territories to collect herbs, you can use sticks for kitting, I recommend after a battle checking on every cat like in the books, and also if you want, you can roleplay and “organize herbs” hope this helps!
I got all the herb written down, positive of having a school that had the entire series and the extra information books of warrior cats. So I know every herb and what it helps!!

And for people who don’t play as medicine cat but play as wounded, please please please if a medicine cat properly heals you, just be healed in until needed again. Another tip for where herbs are
Thunder clan has thyme it is the only clan that has thyme now
River clan has the most poppy and cat mint
Wind clan has borage and juniper berries
Shadow clan has dock leaves
And yarrow is in all clans by dead tree stumps

a little tip that goes with the following roles: med cat and med app and lead: Remember, leaders don't give med apps their med name, the med takes their app to the moonstone, once they feel that the app is ready, and gives the app their new name.
also, meds choose their apps and leads don't. the apps are usually chosen because their love of herbs, a dream, prophecy, or a vision from starclan, or herb skills.

Hell, Valkyrie! I wanted to ask one question, I'm not sure if this counts to the Leader role or Medicine Cat role. But anyways, here's my question:
For example, a Medicine Cat has broke the code and had any romantic relationship/mate, they get caught and now the Leader has to decide the punishment for them. What would be the options? And will the punishment be more serious if the Medicine Cat has had kits with their mate?

Well, I think that the main punishment would be that they had to discontinue their role as medicine cat, and become a warrior (take Leafpool as an example). However, if this leader is really stern, they could be exiled from their clan- but I think that’s overkill. If the medicine cat has kits with their mate, they would be required to look after their kits as a momentary Queen, but after that, they must become a warrior again. Breaking the warrior code can come in many forms as punishment, perhaps the medicine cat has to re-train as a warrior apprentice?

Perhaps if the medicine cat does not have a medicine apprentice, you can ask the medicine cat to get a med apprentice ASAP. Then give them like 3/4 moons to teach the apprentice all they know, and once the medicine apprentice becomes a full med, the medicine cat has to become a plain warrior or retire.

all the time people forget that there can be many med cats people are like "I am the med cat" "no i am"
I cannot be any large roles such as leader, deputy, or medicine cat no matter how experience I have as I have bad anxiety :’) but I do like role playing every once and a while, usually as an apprentice or warrior. I would LOVE to see mediators added into the game though, mediator apprentice is the role for me
I get large roles or else i get ignored in rps :,D
The fact i am usually a warrior and the other times i am dep,lead or med (more likely med) i feel my social anxiety kick in when i see a bunch of people
Once the leader was in the med den and literally everyone was in there except for the deputy because they had to watch the clan, everyone kept talking to the leader and I had to say “cover your ears” and then I had to yell for everyone to get out if they weren’t hurt and literally nobody left I had to make the leader say it 😭
