Wayne, we have a new 1025R in the arsenal now. Luckily we have gone back to normal winters and only get the odd couple inches of snow. The snowfall we had the year that video was taken was the once in 30 year snowfall in our valley. We are going to start taking a bunch more new videos with the 1025R along with our new collection of attachments. That X540 was not made for the snow we hot that year but it was what we had to use at the time.
Unreal!!.When you have snow this deep, even a 1-TON 4-wheel-drive truck would have a helluva time moving that much ❄ snow!!.If your planning on having this tractor handle this much snow with little trouble, you need the 47"inch TWO-STAGE-SNOW BLOWER!!.This will chew through it pretty well.
get the v-chains for ice and some weights and you will never have any problems, providing you don't have blacktop drive, v-chains are a little harsh on blacktop but a simply amazing on ice and will easily go up a ice covered hill.
+PhatboyHD88 I love this little Tractor and am glad I upgraded to it instead of just buying the lawnmower. The traction control is fantastic on it, I need to research how much weight is acceptable on top of my weight on it. Our biggest problem was that there was a sheet of ice that formed under the snow that fell. Thank for the comment, I will research tires better now too.
I had my snow blade for five years I have a la 125 john deere If you put chains on make one path you can push snow for ever.I don't have weights either With out chains it's useless The chains cost about $75.00
+Harrison Fowler Sorry Harrison, I only just saw this message. The weight of it really does a good job of supplying down pressure in my opinion. I find myself having to raise the blade slightly when performing certain racks to keep it from digging in. I cannot speak to using it on concrete, but I think in combination with holding the blade it should be no problem. It would be simple to add weight to the blade to get s bit more pressure on it as well.

Can you get down pressure with that hydraulic blade?

Do yourself a favor and just get the 47" blower with wheel weights, 4 suitcase weights and chains.
I prefer to plow myself
You need more weight, get wheel weights and 4 suitcase weights. Add some chains and your traction issues will be over
Just keep adding weight to the back and it will push more and more buddy
That's just stupid. Get an old mid 80s K30 with an 8 foot Fischer plow.
That was way too much snow for the X540 and a blade, it was what we had though. :-)
I will NEVER follow advice from someone who can't at least throw a tarp over their tractor in bad weather.
