What a Way to Start Snapper Season! | Crazy Inshore Snapper Fishing off Perth

As winter builds in Perth, the cooler water temperatures, storms, swell and strong winds it brings with it fire up the snapper on the inshore reefs off Perth, Western Australia. As it happens, Jayson, Jeremy and Jeff found fantastic numbers of shallow water snapper even before many of these factors came into play for the 2023 season. With virtually no swell, light north-easterly winds and a slack tide on sunset, the boys elected to fish a slightly deeper section of reef than usual near Rottnest Island - 15m on top dropping off to 23m. They were rewarded with some cracking inshore action, with three double-hookups!
